Generic enemies (or stage enemies) are simply characters that flies onto the screem and shoot danmaku at the player in-game. This article lists generic enemies that appears thoughout the Touhou Project (or other series like the Seihou Broject. This can range from unofficial to official names (names with dots underneath indicates that the name is unofficial), but only enemies with very little information appears in this article. There are 14 characters on this page in chronological order (from the early PC-98 games to the latest Windows games).

This Evil Eye (イビルアイ Ibiruai) was a stage enemy in the PC-98 era. Nothing much is really known about this enemy exept that an Evil Eye can be seen on the image top020729.jpg. It is seen behind the mysterious girl on the top right.

Concept

Name

"Evil Eye" is a rather popular fan name to refer to this enemy, even in the Japanese community. It seems to have derived from イビルアイ∑ (Evil Eye Sigma).

Appearance

The Evil Eye is a green spherical shaped body with wings and an red eye. In stage 3 of Lotus Land Story, it was red and had four legs. In later stages the wings are gone, but something that resembles a fan is underneath the body.

Trivia
  • They are the first characters in the whole series to use a different colored bullet.
    • They used a red colored bullet instead of a white one, which would mean they are also the first to use red colored bullets.
Fanon
  • Some fans tend to see the Evil Eye Sigma as the "king" of all the Evil Eyes.

Hoshizako (星ザコ) is a stage enemy in Phantasmagoria of Dim.Dream, seen on Marisa's and Kotohime's stages. They enemy looks similar to the Invincibility Star in the Mario Series. Nothing is really known about this enemy.

Concept

Name

Its name seems to come from it's shape, which is a star. Thus is named as Hoshi () meaning "stars".

Appearance

The sprite of Hoshizako in Phantasmagoria of Dim.Dream shows that it's a red star with two beady eyes. More can be seen in other colors like green, blue and purple. They also can be seen in different sizes.

Note: This article is part of the Seihou Project by the Doujin circle "Shunsatsu sare do?".

These stages enemys are from the future, appearing only in Banshiryuu on Stage 4B. On the C64 version, they appear as a supporting boss. They have the appearance of VIVIT and VIVIT-r, but it is unknown if they are actually robotic maids or if they are called "VIVIT" in some way.
