World Link question

Hi, I noticed you improved some of the Touhoumon dex entries that I started. But, why did you remove EvoBoxChain at the bottom of every page? I thought it was a useful feature to view every evolution stage of a Boneka and be able to quickly go to their respective dex entries quickly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MattsterFAQs (talkcontribs) 06:55, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

The existing Evobox templates do not have the capability to show complex structures like some of those in World Link (e.g. CReimu). Moreover, my EvoBoxChain is an incomplete and aborted template, since I am working on a template that will encompass practically every possible structure. If you want evoboxes in the meantime, try Template:Touhoudex Evobox. (By the way, you can sign your posts by typing ~~~~.) Arcorann 09:44, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

Regarding the Template:Touhoudex Evobox, I'm restructure the entire template and currently unaware the World Link Attribute color, may you provide some datas? - KyoriAsh 10:11, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

"Attribute colour"? I'm not sure what you're referring to here... Arcorann 10:31, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
"Grass color template", "Metal color template", etc. I'm converting those template's color code to evobox so that no longer depends to color templates - KyoriAsh 14:26, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
It's a better idea to merge the templates into the initial typecolor template rather than putting the codes directly in the evobox, since that saves code duplication (the typecolor template is used in several other templates including DexEntry, Evobox, Infobox etc.). Arcorann 04:32, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
If you talking of separate color template, then I have a new idea: combine all color template into one by using code, and call directly by other templates, then no need to recreate new <color> templates again - KyoriAsh 09:39, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
...Wasn't that what I was saying? Anyway, it's looking pretty good so far, though I'm pretty sure it needs more work. Arcorann 23:42, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
If any missing color from main, World Link and Boneka series, feel free to add in here, meanwhile, I was hope to implement this, but I'm waiting someone to comment/improve it. - KyoriAsh 23:04, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
Before that, could you have a look at User:Arcorann/World Link/EvoboxU? It's practically ready for implementation. I might incorporate the new design in your sandbox into my template depending on how well it works. Arcorann 02:54, 2 February 2012 (UTC)
Hmm... your evobox template quite different from mine... technically I can't see any difference beside retain the old "grey" color and the long evobox... Meanwhile the new design needs to improve as I think that's quite weird althogh much more smaller - KyoriAsh 03:00, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

I have a rather odd request...

Could you please tell me how you add those Touhoumon entries so fast?

It takes me 30 mins a page and I can't find the extra info such as height, weight and things of that nature, but as I watch you, you literally do a page a minute! Now that is significant!

So if you wouldn't mind telling me how you do it, that be really nifty!

♥★♦ 04:32, 6 November 2011 (UTC)

Using a spreadsheet uploaded here (MS Excel 2000). The pages I've been dumping only have the base stat table info, though, and need cleanup. Arcorann 06:23, 6 November 2011 (UTC)

I could try to help you with that; also with the descriptions box, do I leave it like the original like this:

As like other kappa, she loves
cucumber as her favourite food.
Also, she capables to manipulate
water.

or am I allowed to give it the best intentions of the designer like this:

As like other kappa, she loves
cucumbers as it's her favourite food.
Also, she is capable to manipulate
water.

♥★♦ 03:20, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

(Update, not a problem anymore, they will have proper grammar now!)

Which bring me to my next thing on the agenda.

The Link to (heh) World Link Boneka is shared with Another World.

So I wanna change it to IDollDex.

If we are able to get permission to move it to that page, that would be cool, if not, then at least rename it like IDollDex ♥★♦ 05:53, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

With regards to the proofreading, your version also has some grammar errors. I would write "Like other kappa, she loves cucumbers as they're her favourite food. Also, she is capable of manipulating water." With regards to moving the World Link dex pages, it's probably a lot of unnecessary work. Arcorann 03:58, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

Ok then! If you spot any grammar errors, please tell me, I'll forward them to AichiyaSanae. Just make sure that you keep it as close to the original context as possible. ♥★♦ 05:18, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

Talk:Torte Le Magic#Character naming

Hi Arcorann. Could you answer this so I can understand more on what the names should go as? To me you seem to know what names to use because of this revision. thanks Tony64 (Talk/Con.) 11:24, 28 October 2011 (UTC)

About Banshiryuu versions

Hi Arcorann. OK, I have v3.100 (I said a mistake and said "v3.000") and you have v2.100. I managed to extract the data of the game using one of the tools NamelessLegacy left for us and the data appears to have previous title screens. Could you describe the title screen you see in-game? thanks Tony64 (Talk/Con.) 00:24, 26 November 2011 (UTC)

Well, I managed to patch to v3.000 (turns out it was v3.001 that was broken). I think the title screens rotate in that version, since I remember seeing VIVIT on my v3.000, but when I started it just now it had Hirano. v2.100 has a different title screen (contains VIVIT and a girl I don't recognise, also the background is dark-coloured). Arcorann 07:20, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
Ah, your previous title screen had Milia and what appears to be Erich in the background (I wonder why those two were there? ;). In the extraction folder, it's called titleC74 and the current one's with VIVIT and Hirano are called titleV3_miko and titleV3_viv. I'll upload all the title screens I've got to the wiki.
The way this game goes with versions is confusing to me, because you also stated that the dialogue's in your previous version was different, so I suspect the dialogues I put to the wiki are only for v3.100 (and of course, speculating to be different from "C74", but also speculating to be same as v3.000). I suspect C74 is anywhere under v3.000.
However, I downloaded the trial version called v1.600 sometime ago. It was released on 2007-07-17 and hell it's different. It's like a completely different game, but still acts like the C74 version. The first stage theme has a different tune at the start and end, the bosses have a smaller explosion after the battle then a large explosion, and again the dialogues are different. Shall I put the trial dialogues to the wiki? Tony64 (Talk/Con.) 12:18, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
Firstly, check to see if they match the C67 version (v1.100; vanilla C74 is v2.100). As far as I know, there are four sets of dialogue for each main scenario: C67, C74 (E/N), v3.00x (E/N), C74/v3.00x (H/L). Arcorann 01:56, 27 November 2011 (UTC)

Question about your timeline edit

Just how is it fixing things? I was under the impression that bunch of articles were there to serve as as sort of reference. At the very least, try to put Youki leaving before the early SoPM articles.

Removal of duplicate entries (the early SoPM articles are already under "Historical events"), plus miscellaneous. The timeline on thwiki.info has Youki leaving after said articles, which is why I have retained this order. Arcorann 08:33, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

Mystic Square bullet cancel bonuses

Hello. First time using a user talk page... so I just add a new section right?

Anyway, I was looking at the history of Mystic Square/Gameplay (why? I'd just made various corrections based on watching some of my recent recorded scoreruns, and decided to copy any changes that were relevant to the LLS Gameplay page), and I noticed you'd added a formula for enemy bullet bonuses, then removed it... well, I think I've clarified the difference between the various boss-related bonuses, so it may be relevant to add now (wasn't sure if I should do it myself or not).

Touhoumon stuff

Greetings. I'm working (slowly) on Another world. Can you teach me some of the templates? because I intend to, in the future, write the locations page http://en.touhouwiki.net/index.php?title=Touhoumon_Another_World/Locations&action=edit&redlink=1 Please reply if you have time. Thanks. Myonmon (talk) 07:11, 30 March 2013 (UTC)

Sure. Is there anything in particular you'd like to know more about? Arcorann (talk) 07:30, 30 March 2013 (UTC)

tool assisted replays

let's have a conversation about this subject here: Talk:High_scores#Tool_assisted_replays

Thanks, Royal Flare (talk) 00:06, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

In regards to Touhoudex info...

Thank you for passing along that link to the .xml sheet you have. Definitely a big help in completing the Dex. :)Ravezombie (talk) 14:32, 11 June 2013 (UTC)

Kopiapoa's SA Lunatic TAS

Do you have the replay? I missed it. If you do, could you upload it somewhere? (this is Wriggle btw ) --Tw+ 18:05, 27 December 2013 (UTC)

Yes, though my understanding is that kopiapoa has a policy against re-uploading his replays, so I'd prefer not to post a public link. Shouldn't the video be enough? Arcorann (talk) 08:42, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
Well, I did watch the video, but a replay is better. If the issue is a public link, would sending it as an email attachment be fine? ( mailto:[email protected] ) --Tw+ 18:44, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
Done. Arcorann (talk) 11:25, 29 December 2013 (UTC)

Re.PoIB

So, long, long ago you asked me to fill upload some images. It's kinda uncomfortable to say, but i got the Phantasmagoria of Imagine Breaker cards...like one month ago, but i didn't upload them because of the pages, lacking pages that's it. Seeing as you did the most contributions, could you upload the scripts (the different team scenarios and character profiles)?. I'm not asking about English translations, just the Japanese texts. The translations can wait. MapleTree (talk) 18:03, 1 August 2015 (UTC)

You mean Re.Phantasmagoria of Imagine Breaker/Spell Cards, or the dialogue? If the latter, I should be able to get it done in one day or so, but please be patient. Arcorann (talk) 03:03, 2 August 2015 (UTC)

Title files using

Did you know how to use title files in ThbgmExtractor or any other extractor? Last version of ThbgmExtractor, 1.6.2, downloaded from http://smdn.jp/works/tools/ThbgmExtractor/, can load only .ini, .bgm, .fsx and .xml files and can't load "titles_th15.txt" file. Sibgamer (talk) 08:50, 15 August 2015 (UTC)

Put the file in the THbgmExtractor folder, then go into the program and LoLK will appear in the dropdown. This is how title files have always worked. Arcorann (talk) 09:12, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
