Name
Its name seems to come from it's shape, which is a star. Thus is named as Hoshi (星) meaning "stars".
Appearance
The sprite of Hoshizako in Phantasmagoria of Dim.Dream shows that it's a red star with two beady eyes. More can be seen in other colors like green, blue and purple. They also can be seen in different sizes.
