	蓬莱人形	Hourai Doll
	満月の下の、草木も眠る丑三つ時。 人間と妖怪の肝試しは、いったい何を恐れる？ 最大の大罪の犠牲者は、いったいどこに居る？	Under the full moon, even the trees and grass are asleep in the dead of the night. In the Human and Youkai's trial of guts, what could scare them? The victim of the greatest sin: where are they?

Reimu	これが肝試しの肝？	Is she the "guts" of this trial of guts?
Keine	あの人間には指一本触れさせない！	I won't let you lay a finger on that human!

Reimu	なんだったのかしら。 確かに妖精たちが騒いでいる様だけど……。	I wonder what that was about. It feels like the fairies are rowdier than usual tonight...
??	今夜の月は、また一段と強い。 妖の者が騒ぐのも無理が無いわね。	The moonlight is especially strong tonight. That's why the fairies and youkai are noisy.

Mokou	こんな夜に出かける馬鹿者も居るんだねぇ。	I see there are indeed fools who go out on nights like this.
Reimu	誰？	Who?
Mokou	お前だよ。	I'm talking about you.
Reimu	いや馬鹿者の事じゃなくて。	No, I'm not asking who's a fool...
Yukari	馬鹿者ってところは認めるのね。	So are you admitting to being a fool?

Mokou	私はずっとここに住んでいる人間。 今ここに居るのは馬鹿だからじゃないよ。	I'm a human who has lived here forever. I'm not here because I'm a fool.
Yukari	人間？ 人間ねぇ。	Human? Human, huh...
Reimu	この竹林の持ち主か何かかしら。	Maybe she owns the forest or something.
Mokou	で、目的は何？　お馬鹿さん。	So, what are you doing here, fools?
Reimu	肝試し。	A trial of guts.
Yukari	肝とか色々試し。	And of various other things.
Mokou	なんと肝試し！ ああ、何時から人間はこんなに馬鹿に なったのかしら？ こんなに狂おしい満月の丑三つ時に、 こんなに妖怪が沢山出る処まで来て、 事もあろうか肝試し！ 妖怪に殺されなかったのが不思議ね。 それに死んだら、妖怪達に生き肝を 喰われる肝試しなんて――	What! A trial of guts?! I never imagined that humans were this foolish... Coming out on a night like this, under the full moon, at 2 AM... Coming to a place where there are tons of youkai out... And of all the stupid things, for a trial of guts!? It's a miracle that you weren't killed by youkai yet. If you die, it's your guts they'll be feasting on--
Yukari	言われ放題よ。 霊夢、何か反撃しないの？	She's just babbling. Reimu, any counterattacks?
Reimu	いやまぁねぇ。肝試しったって、 輝夜がほれいけ、やれいけって言うからさぁ。	Well... This trial was Kaguya's idea, not mine, so...
Mokou	今なんて？ 輝夜って言った？	What was that? Did you say "Kaguya"?
Reimu	言ったっけ？	Um, did I?
Yukari	か・ぐ・や、言ったわ。	I certainly heard a "ka", a "gu", and a "ya".
Mokou	むきー！ 肝試しなんておかしいと思ったら、 やっぱりあいつの仕業なのね。 そうか、今度はこいつ等をけしかけて 私を始末しようとしているな？ あいつったら、いっつもいっつも私を 始末しようとして！ 全く、こんな不便な体にしたのは あいつじゃないの！	Ack! I figured your trial of guts was suspicious. It figures she'd be behind this. She must have gotten these people to come kill me, right? She always, ALWAYS tries to kill me! And besides, wasn't she the one that gave me this inconvenient body in the first place!?
Reimu	なんか、一人で盛り上がってるわね。	Seems she's getting all worked up on her own.
Yukari	ほら貴方も便乗しないと損よ。	You need to match her.
Mokou	ふん、輝夜の使いがどれほどのもん なのか見せて貰おうか。 あいつが遣したって事は、あいつよりは 強いんでしょ？	So, why don't I test the skill of Kaguya's new assassins? You've beaten her before, so you must be more powerful than she is, right?
Yukari	強気な人間ね。私みたいな妖怪相手に そこまで強気な人間なんて、 ３人位しか知らないわ。	How brave. It's a wonder a human doesn't get scared by a youkai like me... And to think I believed there were but 3 brave humans in the world.
Reimu	でも、人間相手に戦うのはちょっと 気乗りしないわね……	I don't know, I'd kind of rather not fight other humans...
Yukari	何言ってるの。 魔理沙は余裕でのして来たじゃないの。	What? Didn't you just crush Marisa earlier?
Mokou	私を普通の人間だと思うな。 私は死なない。絶対に死ぬ事が無い。 あのにっくき輝夜の所為で。 そうよ、いくらあいつが私を始末しようと しても、どだい無理な事。 あいつはそれが判ってて使いを遣して来る。 腹立たしいにも程があるわ。	I'm no ordinary human, you know. I can't die. I really am not able to die. Not from anything that stupid Kaguya can do. No matter how much she tries to kill me, it won't do her any good. But she knows it, and yet is sending assassins now. This is the most irritating thing ever.
Yukari	ほら、霊夢。 また乗り遅れてるわよ。	Well, Reimu... You missed another oppurtunity to butt in.
Reimu	よく分からないけど。 死なないって事は、 思いっきりやってもいいって事？	I don't quite get it. If she's can't die, that means I can go all-out on her, right?
Yukari	中正解ね。 絶対に死なないのが自慢みたいだし。	More or less. It seems she's quite proud of not being able to die.
Mokou	思いっきりやらなきゃ、 貴方の人生ゲームオーバー。 もう戻り橋にも戻れない、 一方通行の丑三つ時。	If you don't go all out, your life will be "game over". There's no turning back. It's a one-way road at 2 A.M.

Mokou	お望みどおり。 貴方達の肝、試させて貰うわよ。	Just like you wanted: Allow me to test your guts.

Mokou	あーれー。 強すぎるぅぅ。	Oh man... You're too strong...
Yukari	あらほんと、まだ生きているわ。 ほんとに死なないのね。	Wow, look, she's still alive. She really can't die, huh?
Reimu	最初は何度も死にかけて頼りないから びっくりしたわよ。ほんと。	I'm surprised... She seemed like she was about to die a bunch of times.
Mokou	痛い痛い、死なないけど痛い～。	Ow, it hurts! I won't die but it hurts~.
Yukari	霊夢、この娘面白いわ。	Reimu, she's very amusing.
Reimu	いや、痛がってるのを見て面白い言うのは ちょっと。	You're looking at her suffering and calling her amusing...
Mokou	こんなに強いんじゃ、肝試しもへったくれも 無いじゃない。	You're too strong. What's the point of a trial of guts for people like you?
Yukari	そう？ 私だって怖い物も色々あるわよ。	Well, there are still some things that are kinda scary.
Reimu	まんじゅうとかでしょ？	Like manju?
Yukari	そう、あの丸いフォルムが大きな蟲の卵を 彷彿させて、そして中のあんが……	Yeah, they're shaped like giant insect eggs... And that jelly inside, too...
Mokou	いやぁぁ。まんじゅう怖い。	Nooo... manju are so scary.
Reimu	それはともかく、肝試しはこれで終了かしら？	Well, anyway, is our trial of guts finished?
Yukari	あれ？ そう言えばまだ肝を試していないわね。	What? Now that you mention it, we haven't tested any guts yet.
Reimu	？	?
Yukari	ほら、目の前の人間の生き肝。 霊夢、貴方が掻っ捌いて確認しなさい。	Look, we can see the guts of this human here. Reimu, you cut out her guts and test them.
Mokou	ひぇぇ。 死なないけど怖い。	Aaaah, I won't die, but that's scary...
Reimu	なんで私がそんな妖怪じみたことしなきゃ いけないのかしら？	Why on earth would I want to do such a Youkai-like thing?
Yukari	あら、不老不死の人間の生き肝を食せば、 貴方も不老不死になれるわよ。	Didn't you know? If you eat an immortal person's guts, you'll become immortal too.
Reimu	というか、人間やめるのは ちょっとねぇ……	Well, I'd rather not stop being human, you know...
Mokou	あら酷い。私は人間じゃないって言うの？	That's so mean. Are you saying I'm not human?
Reimu	人間……、なのかな？ よく分からないわね。 まぁどうせ、今の幻想郷は人間なのか 違うのか判らないような連中ばかりよ。 いまさら、魂を入れる器の違いなんて 大したもんじゃないのかな？	Are you a human, I wonder? I don't really know. Well, in the first place, Gensokyo's filled with things that you can't tell are human or not anyway. These days, maybe it just doesn't matter what kind of container someone's soul is in.
Yukari	でも博麗の仕事は妖怪退治。 それは妖怪差別かしら？	But the Hakurei Shrine's mission is youkai-crushing... Isn't that a little hypocritical?
Reimu	前言撤回。妖怪は退治されるもの。 人間は退治するもの。 これは動かせない約束事ね。 これからも私は、妖怪を退治するわ。	Okay, so I take that back. Youkai must still be crushed by humans. It is my destiny. I will continue to crush Youkai.
Yukari	大・正・解。	Absolutely correct.

Notes

^  "肝試し" is a Japanese tradition of going out to somewhere scary, such as a forest at night or an abandoned house, in order to "test your guts", or see just what it takes to scare you(and other people). The translation "trial of guts" works well for the puns that the characters later make.

^  She's referring to Reimu, Marisa, and Sakuya - refer to Perfect Cherry Blossom's Phantasm stage.
