Notes

  1. Needless to say, this is a parody of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
  2. This is a parody of a video game Wolf Fang.
  3. Parody of the phrase "Fires and quarrels are the flowers of Edo" (火事と喧嘩は江戸の華 kaji to kenka wa Edo no hana). The phrase describes two of Edo's well-known qualities: frequent fires and irritable citizens. The word are (アレ) in the stage's title, here translated as "whatnot", is a demonstrative pronoun in Japanese (roughly equivalent to the English "that") used as a euphemism for obscene expressions, or for when the speaker has forgotten a particular word.
  4. See the note for the stage title. The card name may also be a pun on "花火" (hanabi), the Japanese word for "fireworks", which is composed of the kanji for "flower" and "fire".
