C22 is a meganekko (眼鏡っ娘, lit. "girl with glasses") who appears as the playable character of the main scenario of Samidare. She was issued as a pilot for SMD-24-OX "五月雨 (Samidare)" According to the data, she is a female humanoid made by M.R.S (Machine manufacture Research and development System), who worked on developing the SDM series. Furthermore, it is hard for people to notice that she is not human unless not only judged by her physical appearance. She has to protect the humanity by going on dangerous missions in SMD-24-OX, which includes a testing against the biomechanical construct Sylphid, an encounter with Anareta, the defense system of long-ruined space outpost Tetra-Biblos, and an encounter with the SMD series prototype, SMD-00x.

In C22's official art, she has long, cyan hair, grey eyes, and some rectangular glasses. She wears a tight ivoryblack uniform with long sleeves and white cuffs. She also wears a skirt over her tights, black fingerless gloves, and black shoes with an azure trim. In another illustration, she is shown with dark blue eyes.

C23 is a meganekko (眼鏡っ娘, lit. "girl with glasses") who appears as the playable character of the Extra Stage scenario of Samidare. Although looking extremely similar to C22, C-23 has more motivation than the older humanoid and is viewed as "closer to a human" with her personality. This might be because she possesses an advanced, self-aware AI. She is sent on a mission as the M.R.S (Machine manufacture Research and development System) believes that there has been something strange going with the dimensions and the sudden disappearance of many weapons. She steers the final unit, SMD-31-FX "Gesshoku".

- Anareta bears a strong resemblance to the RX-78-2 Gundam. In addition, during the battle with it, Anareta sustains noticeable damage after each phase, losing one arm, a leg, and finally its head, leaving it in a very similar condition to the Gundam after its final battle.
