Talk:Concealed the Conclusion

From Touhou Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

You should link to the download as well, I'm not sure which file is the download for the script/game. NightKev 22:01, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

We ought to put some spoiler tags or something on the story area of this page. CtC is rather heavy in those. Prime V2 23:06, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Locked/Unlocked?

From the intro paragraph: "It's a regular day in Gensokyo, until Marisa goes over to find that Reimu is missing, and the shrine isn't even locked up."

From the first Story section paragraph: "She goes over to Reimu Hakurei, to show her. However, when she shows up at the shrine, nobody is there, and it's locked up."

(Emphasis mine in both cases.)

So which is it?--Apcog 14:10, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Nearly 3 years later-comment.
Someone's finally edited the intro paragraph, and now we know the shrine is locked up. Persona! 03:30, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

Download?

Is there a download for this game? I have absolutely no idea where to look to find this game. At least with Mystical Chain, there's a download link. Snowpaw 04:44, December 22, 2009 (UTC)

Yes. Google harder for it, please. I don't think that posting pirated links should be encouraged on wikis. !8RstuPId2Y 04:50, December 22, 2009 (UTC)
Pirated?! I thought this was a FAN game, not something licenced by ZUN! Mystical Chain is freeware, why isn't this game the same? What the heck, how did they get the licence to do this game?Snowpaw 07:51, December 22, 2009 (UTC)
Yes, this is a fan-game. And so is Megamari, Rekkaden, and many, many, many other games that you actually have to buy. And Manga that you have to buy. And music that you have to buy. Commercial fan content may seem a bit odd to you, but it's very, very common with Touhou. Unfortunately, I've had trouble finding a place to buy Concealed the Conclusion myself... I even recall finding the danmaq products store, and they were all out. Does somebody know a place where you can actually purchase the game? --Prime V2 10:14, December 22, 2009 (UTC)
I wish I could help ya. I found a download but I feel bad doing that. I want to purchase the game, especially if I like it. I'll see if I can find it when I go over to Japan in a couple years as part of my degree for Japanese Language. I should be able to find all of these in a store in Osaka somewhere!Snowpaw 10:33, December 22, 2009 (UTC)
isn't the download on the offical site?--Invaderhado 12:54, December 22, 2009 (UTC)
Nothing is licensed in Touhou. It is all sold on the doujin market. Not even Touhou is a licensed series, but a doujin series made by ZUN on his own time and sold exclusively on the doujin market (as per definition). Japan is more lax on this because doujinshi has for the most part been extremely common and a way to get a potential mangaka to start off their career along with a way to sell exclusive goods (because Japan loves that kind of stuff apparently), while in other countries, you'd probably get a whole bunch of copyright lawsuits and bullshit before even attempting to sell something derived from another series.
There is no full download on the official site. Maybe a demo or something, but I highly doubt that they would put an entire commercial game on a website for free.
If you do manage to go to Japan, considering stocks haven't run out by then/they restock consistently, check out Toranoana, they're a shop that specializes in selling doujinshi goods. !8RstuPId2Y 20:18, December 22, 2009 (UTC)
Oh, I kinda got the game from the site.--Invaderhado 03:24, December 23, 2009 (UTC)
Oh wait, I think I found a "full" it on CtC's site. Fuck. Well, I was looking up Mystical Chain for whatever reason anyway. Sorry for the confusion. !8RstuPId2Y 04:07, December 23, 2009 (UTC)

Okay, while we're on the topic, ignoring HOW I got the game, I have the game, but I can't run it. The only executables are config.exe, th_dnh.exe, and thC_ptf.exe. dnh crashes as soon as I hit Z on anything to select it, and thC shows all in ???? even when my whole computer is set to Japanese. What. The. Heck? Isn't there a guide on how to run this game? Or is my download somehow missing the actual exe for the game? Is dnh the exe but it crashes because I have win7? Maybe this isn't the right place to ask this question, but I don't know where else might be more appropriate.

CtC

If its an Error Message from Danmakufu look here: http://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php?topic=4155.0

And if not have you tried running it in AppLocale? thC_pft is for patching the game, not to play it...

And Danmakufu can run on Windows 7.

Problem. I can't check the code or anything because I'm not running a game I made, I'm running CtC, and what in the world is AppLocale? It runs FINE until I select something on the main menu, then it crashes. I don't think that thread would really be useful here since this is CtC, not a homebrew Danmakufu game made on whatever program you're talking about. Snowpaw 02:57, December 23, 2009 (UTC)
CtC is run in Danmakufu!! You can look at the code, but it hardly uses and danmakufu functions and stuff

and sense it runs from the get-go like you said, don't bother with AppLocale, it crashes when you select Directory?

It crashes when I select anything except Directory or Quit. Those two work, everything else crashes and gives a generic "This program has encountered an error and must close" message from windows.Snowpaw 04:48, December 23, 2009 (UTC)
Single can make Danmakufu crash if you have a TON of scripts, Stage can crash while looking for Stage files, Random can crash while gathering the files, same as Plural. Other wise its a problem with your DanmakufuDemonbman 03:16, December 23, 2009 (UTC)
Considering this is Concealed the Conclusion and not some random fanmade danmakufu game, it should be working right out of the box. If it's crashing while gathering files...how would I figure that out and solve it?(keep forgetting to sign damnit)Snowpaw 04:48, December 23, 2009 (UTC)
Just so you all know. I got it running. I needed applocale to make it go beyond the beginning screen ^_^;Snowpaw 14:07, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

Can't open Danmakufu

I tried both AppLocale and setting my PC to Japanese, but I still get an error: "th_dnh.exe has encoutered a problem and will therefore close". Can anyone solve this? >.<

By the way, I have Windows XP, if that helps...

Thanks in advance!

P.S: The error appears even before I do anything. Right after I open Danmakufu...

Extra

I finished all routes over 9000 times and extra won't unlock! WHY?! MoonRabbit 16:27, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

AppLocale-less version

I have heard that there is a version of the game that does not use Danmakufu (or something like that) and does not need AppLocale. Is that true, and does anyone have a link?
Also, unrelated question: where can I find game saves? If I want to reset everything, for example.

About endings

Do you think we should put and translate endings text there? Spoilers be damned, endings are almost impossible to read in-game if you don't know Japanese.
OneMore 04:00, 18 October 2011 (UTC)

Yes, but I would keep them on a separate page separated from the main scenario translations. - Kiefmaster99 05:00, 18 October 2011 (UTC)

Black Background?

Well, when I started to play the game, the background was completely black, but everything else was fine. Anyone know why? Lukesky180 (talk)

Title Pronunciation

Shouldn't 夢終劇 be pronounced "Mushuugeki"? That's how I've always pronounced it.Flan27 (talk) 15:26, 11 September 2012 (EDT)

Well, the official page says it's Mutsuigeki.--Doncot (talk) 16:37, 11 September 2012 (EDT)
