Notes
- ↑ Omiwatari (御神渡り), lit. "The Crossing of the Gods", refers to the cracks that form in the ice sheets over lakes, with the one over Lake Suwa being particularly famous. It is said that these cracks are formed by the god of the lower Suwa Shrine going across the lake to meet the god of the upper shrine, the phenomenon is also known as "God's Footsteps".
