Unit stats for Age of Ethanols v2.18 are listed for each Mode below. If a stat for a particular Mode is not listed, the unit or upgrade is not available in that Mode. Defense is listed vs. Melee/Ranged. Note that in Easy Mode, units may be missing features they would otherwise have; combat units do not become properly effective until Normal Mode.

Universal Units

Worker

  • Cost: 50 alcohol
  • Trained at: Town Center
  • HP: 120
  • Attack: 5
  • Defense: 0/0

Workers are used to gather resources and construct buildings. They cannot be upgraded, but are the strongest type of unit in Easy Mode, generally able to foil any early attacks from the relatively useless Easy Mode combat units.

Red Infantry

  • Cost: 80 alcohol
  • Trained at: Red Magic Circle
  • HP: 60 (E) / 120 (N) / 180 (H) / 240 (L)
  • Attack: 6 (E) / 12 (N) / 18 (H) / 24 (L)
  • Defense: 0/0
  • Upgrade Cost: 40 faith (N) / 100 faith (H) / 250 faith (L)

Red infantry are the standard melee units. They have the highest movement speed among the three standard units. With upgrades, they gain increased Attack and Ranged Defense.

You can upgrade Red infantry at the School once per Mode past Normal; the benefits are as follows:

  • Attack +1 (N) / +2 (H) / +4 (L)
  • Ranged Defense +0.05 (N) / +0.05 (H) / +0.05 (L)

Green Infantry

  • Cost: 60 magic, 20 alcohol
  • Trained at: Green Magic Circle
  • HP: 75 (E) / 150 (N) / 225 (H) / 300 (L)
  • Attack: 3 (E) / 6 (N) / 9 (H) / 12 (L) [Spreadshot]
  • Defense: 0/0
  • Range: 1 (E) / 3 (N/H/L)
  • Upgrade Cost: 40 faith (N) / 100 faith (H) / 250 faith (L)

Green infantry are the standard short range units. They have the highest HP and damage potential among the three standard units. With upgrades, they gain increased firing speed and Melee Defense.

You can upgrade Green infantry at the School once per Mode past Normal; the benefits are as follows:

  • Attack Speed +10% (N) / +10% (H) / +10% (L)
  • Melee Defense +0.05 (N) / +0.05 (H) / +0.1 (L)
  • Range +1 (L)

Blue Infantry

  • Cost: 40 magic, 40 alcohol
  • Trained at: Blue Magic Circle
  • HP: 45 (E) / 90 (N) / 135 (H) / 180 (L)
  • Attack: 3 (E) / 6 (N) / 9 (H) / 12 (L)
  • Defense: 0/0
  • Range: 2 (E) / 4 (N) / 5 (H) / 6 (L)
  • Upgrade Cost: 40 faith (N) / 100 faith (H) / 250 faith (L)

Blue infantry are the standard long range units. They have the longest range and sight among the three standard units. With upgrades, they gain increased Range and Sight.

You can upgrade Blue infantry at the School once per Mode past Normal; the benefits are as follows:

  • Range +1 (N) / +1 (H) / +1 (L)
  • Sight +1 (N) / +1 (H) / +1 (L)

Red Book

  • Cost: 40 alcohol, 120 faith
  • Trained at: Red Magic Circle
  • HP: 200 (H) / 280 (L)
  • Attack: 1
  • Defense: 0/0.9
  • Special: Deals 200x (H) / 300x (L) damage to buildings.
  • Upgrade Cost: 300 faith (L)

Red Books become available in Hard Mode. They deal enormous damage to buildings and are incredibly resistant to ranged attacks, but are useless against units.

Green Book

  • Cost: 80 magic, 80 faith
  • Trained at: Green Magic Circle
  • HP: 200 (H) / 300 (L)
  • Attack: 35 (H) / 50 (L) [Piercing]
  • Defense: 0.2/0
  • Range: 6 (H) / 7 (L)
  • Upgrade Cost: 300 faith (L)

Green Books become available in Hard Mode. They fire powerful projectiles that damage enemy units and buildings along a line, making it especially effective against enemy formations.

Blue Book

  • Cost: 40 magic, 120 faith
  • Trained at: Blue Magic Circle
  • HP: 120 (H) / 180 (L)
  • Attack: 60 (H) / 80 (L) [Splashing]
  • Defense: 0/0.5
  • Range: 9 (H) / 11 (L)
  • Upgrade Cost: 300 faith (L)

Blue Books become available in Hard Mode. They fire powerful projectiles that deal large damage at very long range, but the splash damage can hurt friendly units and buildings as well.

White Book

  • Cost: 300 magic, 300 faith
  • Trained at: Town Center
  • HP: 700
  • Attack: 30 [Splashing]
  • Defense: 0/0.66
  • Range: 10
  • Special: Deals 60x damage to buildings.
  • Special: Projects a large aura that increases Defense of friendly units and buildings by 0.3/0.3 after reducing it by 30%. Does not affect itself.
  • Research Cost: 1000 faith (L)

Black Book

  • Cost: 300 magic, 300 faith
  • Trained at: Town Center
  • HP: 700
  • Attack: 30 [Splashing]
  • Defense: 0/0.66
  • Range: 10
  • Special: Deals 60x damage to buildings.
  • Special: Projects a large aura that increases Attack and Spell Damage of friendly units and buildings by 30%. Does not affect itself.
  • Research Cost: 1000 faith (L)

The ultimate book becomes available in Lunatic Mode. To build it, you must research it at the Town Center first. Most factions have access to either the White or Black Book; they are identical except for their aura effects. You may only have one White/Black Book at any given time (akin to a fourth hero). The White Book's aura increases Defense of friendly units and buildings, while the Black Book increases their Attack and Spell Damage. They fire projectiles that deal enormous damage to buildings and their large auras span nearly the entire screen.

  • Factions with the White Book: Hakurei, Eientei, Moriya, Myouren
  • Factions with the Black Book: Scarlet Devil Mansion, Hakugyokurou, Chireiden, Hisoutensoku, Library
  • Factions without the White/Black Book: Kaeiduka, Three Fairies, Alice

Unique Faction Units

Mini-Suika (Hakurei)

  • Cost: 20 alcohol
  • Trained at: Brewery
  • HP: 60 (N) / 90 (H) / 120 (L)
  • Attack: 6 (N) / 9 (H) / 12 (L)
  • Defense: 0/0

Mini-Suika's become available when Suika is upgraded to Normal Mode. They are somewhat of a bargain compared to Red infantry but cannot concentrate damage on targets that well and are particularly vulnerable to area of effect damage. Their stats increase when Suika is upgraded further and they do not benefit from Red research.

Chen (Hakugyokurou)

  • Cost: 100 alcohol
  • Trained at: Town Center
  • HP: 180 (N) / 270 (H) / 540 (L)
  • Attack: 20 (N) / 30 (H) / 50 (L)
  • Defense: 0/0.5
  • Active Summon Duration: 30s (E) / 1m (N) / 2m, 30s (H) / Permanent (L)
  • Inactive Summon Duration: 5m, 45s (E) / 11m, 45s (N) / 29m, 45s (H) / Permanent (L)

Ran (Hakugyokurou)

  • Cost: 150 magic
  • Trained at: Town Center
  • HP: 400 (N) / 600 (H) / 900 (L)

  • Range: 4

Ran and Chen are temporary units available in Normal Mode and higher. In Lunatic Mode, they become permanent units. They have fast build speed, but despawn after a certain amount of time, as indicated by the current size of the magic circle below them. The magic circle has an active (while moving/attacking) and inactive phase (while idle), which affects how long they stay summoned. They have a 60 second build cooldown after despawning/dying and cannot garrison in buildings. Their stats increase when Yukari is upgraded further and they do not benefit from Red/Green research.

Zombie Fairy (Chireiden)

  • HP: 45
  • Attack: 4
  • Defense: 0/0.3

Zombie Fairies are not trained manually; whenever you complete a research at a Geyser, a Zombie Fairy will spawn for free from every Geyser you own. To take advantage of this, you will need to focus on gathering magic for building Geysers and Houses, as they take up population and will not spawn if you are at population cap. They benefit from Red research.

Red Legion Doll (Alice)

  • Cost: 80 alcohol, 40 points
  • Trained at: Red Magic Circle
  • HP: 70 (E) / 140 (N) / 210 (H) / 280 (L)
  • Attack: 5 (E) / 10 (N) / 15 (H) / 20 (L) [Splashing]

Green Legion Doll (Alice)

Legion Dolls are a special version of infantry only available to Alice. Their attack is splashing/piercing and they have slightly higher HP than infantry. Their stats increase when Alice is upgraded and they benefit from Red/Green/Blue research.
