Banshiryuu (幡紫竜, lit. "Pennant Purple Dragon") is a vertical-scrolling danmaku shoot 'em up that focuses on fewer, faster bullets, and is the third official game in the Seihou Project by "Shunsatsu sare do?" . It was released specifically for the Windows operating system in 2008.

The name 幡紫竜 is named after the Japanese-translated name of a cactus: "mammillaria poselgeri".

Story

Machines that run by the energy source device called "RedStorm" discovered by Erich are going on a rampage across Earth, and it's up to VIVIT-r and Hirano Sakurasaki to stop this.

Music

This time round, ZUN hasn't created the themes for this game and it was by halt and Doku Den P instead. A total of 28 themes is included in the C74 version of the game, with an extra 4 from the C67 version. The C67 version only had 22. It's the first Seihou Project game to have the music stored in an .ogg format. In the fandom community, there is very little arranged music of the themes.
