Notes
- ↑ The 条 in "Lasers of Infinite Articles" (無限条のレーザー) has a double-meaning; 条 is used for "an item of one or two short sentences contained by summary of rule", but also for "line, streak", so it could also mean "Infinite Line of Lasers".
- ↑ "Cipangu" was a name for Japan popularised by Marco Polo (albeit long after Prince Shoutoku's time), who described it as a land filled with gold and silver. To the Japanese this name is seen as exaggerated but with a long and proud history.
- ↑ This phrase is directly derived from the first sentence of sixth article of Seventeen-article constitution. "懲悪勧善、古之良典。" or "悪しきを懲らし善きを勧むるは、古の良き典なり。" (Ashiki wo korashi yoki wo susumuru wa, inishie no yoki nori nari.) …… "To punish the evil and take side with the good is the past practice from ancient times."
- ↑ This phrase is directly derived from the last sentence of third article of Seventeen-article constitution. "...故承詔必慎。不謹自敗。" or "故に詔を承りては必ず慎め。慎まずば、自づから敗れむ。" (yue ni, mikotonori wo uketamawarite wa, kanarazu tsutsushime. tsutsushimazu wa, onozu-kara yaburen.) …… "Consequently when you receive the Imperial commands, fail not to carry them out scrupulously. Let there be a want of care in this matter and ruin is the natural consequence."
