Ice Scales (氷の鱗, koori no uroko) are rare items found only during winter, created from the crystalization of the Water Dragon's (水龍, suiryuu) power. They can be located at the Abandon Pond; it is unknown if they can be found elsewhere.

According to Marisa Kirisame, they won't melt even in summer, and is what allow Magicians to use ice-based magic all-year round. Because of this, they are considerated very valuable items.
