Player Spell Cards
Notes
- ↑ Ama-no-Iwato: the cavern where the sun goddess Amaterasu hid herself away in legend. The boulder blocking the entrance was hurled away by the god Ame-no-Tajikarao when Amaterasu left.
- ↑ 追儺 (tsuina): A ceremony of driving out evil spirits, originally from China. Japan's Setsubun ceremonies are derived from tsuina.
- ↑ 燐禍 (rinka, lit. "phosphorus disaster"): a play on 燐火 (rinka, one of several JP terms for will-o'-wisps), as well as possibly 輪禍 (rinka, "car accident").
- ↑ Literally "in a six-league fog". A play on words that's one step above the idiom 五里霧中 (lit. "in a five-league fog"), which means 'to be in utter confusion'.
- ↑ Hyakki Yako (百鬼夜行): A night parade of one hundred demons. This spell's name is a coined term from this parade, times ten thousand (百万: a million, 百: a hundred).
- ↑ Mt. Togakushi: a (real life) mountain said to have been created from the boulder flung from Ama-no-Iwato.
- ↑ Ame-no-Tajikarao: the god who hurled away the boulder blocking the entrance to Ama-no-Iwato.
- ↑ 酔夢 (suimu, "drunken dream"): pronounced identically to part of the game's Japanese title (萃夢, "gathering dream")
