Miscellaneous information about the game outside the actual gameplay go here.

Title Screen

The title screen has five options.

  • Play: Starts the game. Once you select this option, you arrive at the stage selection screen.
  • Library: Titled "Memory Lane: -Scene Mode-". This screen contains all of the unlocked cutscenes that play between worlds; press Up and Down to traverse through these. The completion rate for each floor (based on the average of the high scores) is displayed next to the cutscene option of that floor.
  • Misc: Titled "Battle Records: -Play Result-". This screen displays the following for each stage: Stage Name, Top Rank, High Score, Times Played, Times Beat, Best Time. You can press Left and Right to see the records for different floors. Also shown is the cumulative Play Time.
  • Config: Controls and other settings for the game.
  • Exit: Exits the game.

Saved Data

The game automatically saves your progress each time you complete a stage. The saved data is actually located not in the game directory, but in here:

(2000/XP:) Documents and Settings\<User Name>\Application Data\desunoya\TrapTowersave (Vista/7:) Users\<User Name>\AppData\Roaming\desunoya\TrapTowersave

The data is saved as a save00.dat file. You can copy the file and rename to make backups. There is also a globalsave.dat file that presumably contains configuration data.
