The Annual Hakurei Shrine Grand Festival (博麗神社例大祭 Hakurei Jinja Reitaisai) is a yearly, Touhou Project-only convention that takes place every Spring in Tokyo Big Sight from 2008 onwards (a.k.a. Tokyo International Exhibition Center), Japan, which originally starting in 2004. It's the largest of the many doujin conventions hosting only Touhou content. Although the co-ordinator of this convention has nothing to do with Team Shanghai Alice officially, the name "Hakurei Shrine Reitaisai" was given by ZUN himself. It first started in the year 2004 as a way for TSA uses this event as a way to publicly distribute trial versions of upcoming games to the fans well in advance of their release on the Internet.

The 2004 Reitaisai featured a total of 114 participating circles. Since then, many Touhou derivative works are also gathered and sold there. Commencing every year in April or May, the convention has been hosted before Tokyo Big Sight in Ota, Tokyo in 2004; Naka-ku, Yokohama in 2005 and Sunshine City, Tokyo in 2006 and 2007. 2010 saw the birth of Reitaisai SP, an additional Reitaisai to be held every autumn due to increasing popularity. 2011's Reitaisai was temporarily cancelled due to safety concerns after the 2011 Tohoku earthquake.[1] It was later rescheduled and it took place on May 8, 2011 with approx. 4,940 participating circles.

The next event will be Reitaisai 12, on 2015-05-10.
