- ↑ 導命ノ蛇 (doumei-no-hebi): a reference to Mystical Power Plant's Japanese title, as well as a play on Abe no Kiyohime's Overdrive spell card "Abyssal Danmaku Barrier: Seimei-no-miya".
- ↑ Valusia is an ancient kingdom in the Cthulhu Mythos, ruled by serpent-men with illusory magic, mostly featuring in Robert E. Howard's The Shadow Kingdom.
- ↑ Originally a pun on "面" meaning both "mask" (as in "Mask of Hope") and "stage" (as in a video game stage).
- ↑ The latter half of this line is a partial quote from Natsume Sōseki's I Am A Cat.
- ↑ Likewise; see above reference.
