今までいそうでいなかった犬キャラです(狛犬が犬かどうかというと、違う気がしますが)。狛犬は元々、獅子という架空の生き物だと言われています。しかし、星座の獅子座に見られるように、獅子はライオンと同一視される事が多いです。彼女の不思議な髪型は、元をただせばライオンのたてがみから来ているんですね。狛犬は神様を守る為に神社に住んでいるというので、服装は巫女に寄せました。 |
Before Aunn, there never really was any "dog-characters" (if a komainu can even be considered a dog, I think they're different actually). It's thought that komainu were originally fictitious creatures called shishi.[1] Shishi, as demonstrated by the Leo constellation[2], are often equated with lions though so I based her weird hairstyle on a lion's mane. Because komainu inhabit shrines to defend gods, I used shrine maiden clothes as a reference.[3] |

小動物を描くような気持ちで、可愛く元気よくを表情からポーズまで前面に出しています。髪の毛のくるくるを盛ってモコモコにしがちです。しっぽはあると伺っています。 |
I drew a little animal with a cutesy energetic feeling seen radiating from her face and pose. I tend to make her hair as swirly and fluffy as I like. I hear she has a tail. |

正確には博麗神社の狛犬に宿っていた存在の希薄な神霊が、隠岐奈の能力の影響で実体を得たことで「あうん」として生まれたもの。狛犬といえば2対の像だが、あうんは一人で両方の性質を持っているようで、スペルカード使用時では分身している様子が見られる。 |
To be exact, there lived a faint divine spirit in Hakurei Shrine's komainu statue. Due to the influence of Okina's power, it was given form and birthed as "Aunn". When it comes to komainu, two statues are usually present but Aunn seems to embody both at once. When using certain spell cards she can split in two. |

- ↑ "Shishi" is the Japanese pronunciation of the Chinese word 獅子 (shizi). Orginally, the word referred to lions but, as there were no lions in Japan, the word and imagery that came with it from China were perceived by many to be mythical. Komainu statues almost always come in pairs. The open-mouthed A statue has no horn and is called a "shishi". The closed-mouth UN statue has one horn and is called a "komainu". Eventually, both became to be called "komainu".
- ↑ This constellation is referred to as the "Shishi constellation" (獅子座 Shishi-za) in Japanese.
- ↑ Aunn's color palette, red and white, are the same colors traditionally associated with shrine maidens. Her actual articles of clothing (kariyushi shirt, shorts and sandals), however, are stereotypically Okinawan. This is in reference to the shiisaa, a type of Okinawan guardian statue animal. "Shiisaa" is the Okinawan pronunciation of shishi (獅子), meaning "lion".
