Afterword

| 今回の三者は、日本古来の神道より神霊と、日本で独自に進化した仏教より住職、大陸の宗教である道教より仙人、とそれぞれ異なるイデオロギーの者同士だった。しかし「最近幻想郷に来た者」という事は共通している。
|
The three participants this time were a goddess of ancient Japanese Shinto, the chief priestess of a branch of Buddhism that developed in Japan, and a hermit of the continental religion of Taoism. Although differing in ideology, they do have in common the fact that they are recent immigrants to Gensokyo.

| 幻想郷には様々な勢力がある。我々人間や、幽霊のような霊的な存在、山に棲む組織的な妖怪、一匹狼の強大な妖怪、西洋からやってきた吸血鬼等、雲の上に住む天人……。
|
There exists various influences in Gensokyo: humans, ghost-like spiritual beings, youkai organizations that live in the mountains, strong and self-reliant youkai, those that came from the West such as the vampires, celestials that live up in the clouds...

| 多くの勢力が互いに睨みを利かせているうちは、我々人間には大きな混乱は無いと、今回の対談を通して感じた。しかしそれと同時に、各勢力が手を取り合い始めたら危険かも知れない。
|
From what can be discerned from these discussions, no mayhem should befall us humans, as all of these forces are keeping each other in check. At the same time however, should each of the powers start to band together, it could prove to be dangerous.

| 私はこれから、他の勢力にも会って話を聞いていくつもりである。それが遠回しに人間を守る事に繋がるからだ。
|
I plan to meet and talk with the other influential powers in the future. After all, it is indirectly connected to the task of protecting humans.

|
| しかし、今回の対談は歯切れの悪い終わり方をしてしまった。今度は最初から霊夢さんにも登場して頂いた方が良いのかも知れない（そうすると、本音が聞けるかどうか不明だが）。
|
However, this discussion ended on a sour note. It probably would have been better to let Reimu attend from the start (whether or not her true intentions would have been heard is up for question though).

| ちなみに、誰も部屋の片付けをせずに帰ってしまった。白蓮さんぐらいは片付けていくかなぁなんて、ちょっとだけ期待してたのに……（＊１）。

Incidentally, everyone left without tidying up the room. I was holding onto a tiny ray of hope that at least Byakuren would assist in cleaning up, yet... (*1)

| 第六部には霊夢さんが持ってきた新聞を挟んである。

In the sixth part, I've inserted the newspaper articles that Reimu brought with her.

| 参考として、今回登場して頂いた方の新聞をこの本の最後に付けた。また、前回の幻想郷縁起に載っていなくて、さらに今回登場していない者の新聞も見つかったので同様に挟んである。参考にして欲しい。

I've also included newspapers entries of those who attended the discussion at the end of the book. I also added articles of those who were not included in the previous Gensokyo Chronicles nor mentioned in this publication. Please use them for reference.
