Kanji?

Does anyone have the kanji for this? I checked the Japanese Wiki and they don't have it... MaronaPossessed 18:52, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

"Dream World"

I disagree with the notion that an instance of 夢の世界 must refer to the Dream World, especially when this work was written over a decade ago. The motivation is all the same, with ZUN reusing the themes he had used here and in BaiJR of dreams being muddled with reality and the Butterfly Dream narrative, but there's no reason to believe 夢の世界 here means anything special. Nobody even refers to a specific world, Renko is literally just saying "the world in Maribel's dreams". In fact, it's very much made out to be that Maribel traveled to a Gensokyo in the past -- we've known this for a long time, never mind that it's implied in the story itself. To suggest that she's instead going to the Dream World, which is an entirely separate thing, doesn't seem to be warranted at all. Drake Irving (talk) 00:19, 19 August 2015 (UTC)

Some Editing

I'm going through the story right now, trying to improve readability, but my Japanese is limited so I'd appreciate it if anyone else could look things over and tell me if I've misinterpreted something.

Right now I've made some edits to the first section, but one line has me stumped: 「そんな事はどうでも良いけど、実は私には凄い能力があるのよ。」 (currently "It doesn't really matter at the moment, but I have an amazing power."). I'm not sure what Maribel is trying to say in the first part of the sentence - the best I can make out is "Although things like that are good anyway". Is she being humble about her power? Is she saying that it would be awesome to have any kind of power, but hers is especially cool? Is she addressing Renko's earlier line? Is she continuing her line of thought about the club? どうでもいい basically means "doesn't matter", but what it's referring to is specifically her previous narration about being in a club and stuff. The current translation would be wrong in that it implies that it's her power that doesn't matter. A good translation would be something like "Putting all that aside, the truth is that I actually have this amazing power." Polaris (talk) 03:51, 24 December 2015 (UTC)

Some more lines that I'm not entirely sure of in section #05: 「でも夢の中の物をいつの間にか持ってたりして、もしかしたら今こうやって話している事が夢なのかもしれない――。」 and 「でも、悪夢を吉夢に変えられるとしたら、今の現実より――。」. Is she saying that her conversation might be a dream, or is she saying something about the topic of her conversation? And in the second line she's talking about "nightmares becoming good dreams", "this reality" and "more", but I'm not sure if I've fit them together correctly.
