I realize that in Tenshi's ending, that Sakuya brought them a giant catfish... is that oblivious that after Meiling defeat it she ask Sakuya to use it as food? -Dandan550 23:59, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
No, <spoiler>everything from stage 2 onwards was Meiling's dream. </spoiler>_dk 01:16, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
WHAT!? Can you please put the ending in Meiling's ending script? -Dandan550 03:37, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
Search "hisoutensoku" on youtube and line the movies from the oldest, and you can find the one that includes ED. I don't recommend it though... I have some empathy to wanna watch it because ED has honey & poizon to love Touhou.
But however, I wonder if we should add the plot, because the stories gets by far more interesting to understand what is Hisoutensoku ,why it is called so, and what three protagonists took it for. --Masuo64 06:15, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

There are no ending scripts for any characters in any of the Touhou games here or anywhere. You have to beat the game and figure it out yourself. This was a specific request by the creator Zun that the fan community honors. TheTrueBlue 03:43, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Reimu mentioning a catfish isn't so random - it's a Japanese idea that catfishes are related to/cause earthquakes. (See the Pokemon Whiscash and that part in Lufia II, for example.) But I don't know if I should just remove the fact entirely, or if there's something worth saying about the catfish Sakuya catches. 76.175.72.101 03:52, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Well since it's common knowledge in Japanese culture I suppose it might merit removal. But for many Touhou fans like me it was kind of a "wtf" moment, ditto at each of the other 2 or 3 instances where giant catfishes come up in SWR. Up to you guys. TheTrueBlue 06:22, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I suppose there should be a note about it after said SWR instances, although that seems like it'd be slightly awkward. And maybe it should be on this page too, since this one seems to cause earthquakes as well. 76.175.72.101 06:29, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Regarding the Catfish that Sakuya Caught

"Perfect Memento in Strict Sense mentions that monster carp-like fish up to ten fathoms in length have been seen in the Misty Lake where the Scarlet Devil Mansion is located. This may be the kind of fish Sakuya caught at the end of SWR. "

She said she caught it while climbing Youkai Mountain, right? The lake isn't on the mountain is it. TheTrueBlue 16:35, September 10, 2009 (UTC)

Belongs with all the other nameless (mid)bosses

Why is it that this giant catfish gets its own page when it's just another nameless? If it's going to have it's own separate page, then it should be nicknamed Namazu, which it is tagged as on Danbooru, even if it isn't specific. So what if it has enough information to have it's own page? It should still belong in the Nameless Bosses section. --Unknown 05:10, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

I think this Catfish is different from other nameless midbosses, since it (s/he?) calls itself (him/herself) "Mr. Giant Catfish" (Oo-Namazu sama, 大ナマズ様) in the story mode while other midbosses don't. Japanese normal fans not especially loving it call it "ナマズ" or "大ナマズ" (lacking "sama"), but some lunatic fans call with "sama". At least, there are few people conscious of it being nameless. --masuo64 Talk 06:46, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

New title name

I'd just like to bring up a topic that since the catfish called itself 'Master Big Catfish', shouldn't the article be moved to fit that name? Even though it may not actually be it's real name, it's close enough, isn't it? Anyone wish to comment? Tony64 (Talk/Con.) 20:00, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
