It was somewhat a unfortunate choice of words that they were all called "incidents" some time in the distant past. When I think of the word "incident," I don't think of it in the way Perfect Memento in Strict Sense defined the word {{lang|ja|異変}} on the page related to Reimu, yet it is the way it is defined officially. Perhaps it would be best turn {{lang|ja|異変}} into "abnormality" so that we can continue call all of these incidents without needing to find an awkward alternate word like "occurrence" for things that are not {{lang|ja|異変}}.--[[User:Tosiaki|としあき]] 01:58, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

:The word Incident as used in the Fanbase is already defined in better detail here. 異変 by itself means more than incident, yes, but there's not much of a problem if it's explained here that Incident covers unusual/abnormal events in particular.
:Occurrence is not that weird. Not that it matters too much anyways since there's no official name for non-異変, so the standard word to use is either event or occurrence. Using "incident" for such non-異変 events would actually be weirder. [[User:Kiefmaster99|- Kiefmaster99]] 11:49, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

It was somewhat a unfortunate choice of words that they were all called "incidents" some time in the distant past. When I think of the word "incident," I don't think of it in the way Perfect Memento in Strict Sense defined the word 異変 on the page related to Reimu, yet it is the way it is defined officially. Perhaps it would be best turn 異変 into "abnormality" so that we can continue call all of these incidents without needing to find an awkward alternate word like "occurrence" for things that are not 異変.--としあき 01:58, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

The word Incident as used in the Fanbase is already defined in better detail here. 異変 by itself means more than incident, yes, but there's not much of a problem if it's explained here that Incident covers unusual/abnormal events in particular.
Occurrence is not that weird. Not that it matters too much anyways since there's no official name for non-異変, so the standard word to use is either event or occurrence. Using "incident" for such non-異変 events would actually be weirder. - Kiefmaster99 11:49, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
