== Why is this here ==
Why is this page on the wiki, if professed to be unrelated to Touhou? I'm gonna delete the page in approx 28 hours if no one responds with a good argument [[User:Shioshou|Shioshou]] 00:37, 2022 September 14 (UTC)

About the name

Hi, how does the name of this series "work", exactly? "Len'en" sounds partly Chinese and partly Japanese, and I see that the given kanji are seemingly pure hanzi instead. Also, is the ' really necessary? It doesn't really help webmasterx "get" the romanization better, you've still gotta explain every little detail and teach people the true meaning of context. I'd understand if it's an official romanization, but I can't seem to find anything like that.

I do notice that the developer is using "Le" as its initialism; I'm mentally comparing that to "th" and getting the idea I had where initialisms of hanzi/kanji/hanja are the first character of each romanization ("thhjr"), which is kinda neat. Despatche (talk) 00:59, 28 March 2014 (UTC)

From what I've gathered up thus far for the characters, according to Wiktionary, the characters for "Len'en" do exist as Kanji in Japanese. Also, if we need to remove the Chinese sounding from it (which personally I think we ought to), then the correct romanisation ought to be "Ren'en" since the 'l' isn't often used for romanisation. I could only guess that the apostrophe is to show that the first 'n' is seperate from 'en' and therefore shows that they're separate pronunciations. Tony64 (Talk/Con.) 01:26, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
the use of l is fine, as it's an official romanization. remember that technically "r" is always wrong, that we really need a combined l/r glyph to represent those sounds.
the use of apostrophes and macrons and stuff has always bothered me; their usage is always completely arbitrary, and they never make anything clearer like they're supposed to because you still have to explain the "context" of the sounds to people. they are band-aid solutions to minor problems that have been allowed to swell over. Despatche (talk) 06:50, 11 April 2014 (UTC)

The apostrophe separates the two "syllables" (or what we would call syllables in English) because in this case it's ambiguous in romanization. In Japanese, the kana are れ(re), ん(n), え(e), and ん(n), but the romanized letters "lenen" by themselves are ambiguous in that they could also represent the kana れ(re), ね(ne), and ん(n). The apostrophe is commonly used in romanization when an ambiguity like this comes up. There's a little note about it here on wikipedia if you want some reference. The apostrophe isn't official and so it could possibly be up for debate, but you should know that it's placement isn't just arbitrary. As for the "l", that is indeed official. Character articles

Due to being a series that's not got any unofficial material based on Touhou itself within it, I'd like to propose having separate articles for each character. We can have a note on top of each page that's similar to the characters of UB and Seihou. Opinions? Tony64 (Talk/Con.) 00:43, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

Flan27 and me had similar idea some time ago but didn't get time for that yet :) At least, it's good to make pages for recurrent characters. Necrotek (talk) 08:24, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Unless it'd get some recognition throughout the web I'd say no. Besides, this is still a Touhou Project wiki. ☢ Quwanti 13:57, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
I tend to find that the Len'en Project has some recognition on the web. So therefore, I'm going to go ahead and created separate articles. Tony64 (Talk/Con.) 19:35, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
Small recognition but still not related to the Touhou Project other than being inspired from it. ☢ Quwanti 17:39, 15 February 2015 (UTC)

Finalisation of Len'en on this wiki

Overtime since the conclusion has been made on the main page to remove most of Len'en on this wiki and finally get the job done, I too wish for this to happen. However, it appears to be talking time to get the job done, and I was also hoping that the new wiki could be added to this wiki's interwiki table to have official connexions between the two wikis. Also, I need to ask, is it vital to also delete the games pages themselves? I can see why the sub articles could be deleted, but I don't really want to put my input on this matter. Personally I'm fine with the existing game pages. I believe those have reason to stay, but yes, I think the dedicated pages to single characters and objects and all that should go. UTW 23:14, 14 June 2015 (UTC)
Len'en pages dedicated to single characters, locations and objects have been placed to be deleted for a few months now despite a major conclusion, and I've yet to see anything happening. I even posted on Mamizou's talk page regarding this a month ago, but there was no response. Tony64 (Talk/Con.) 00:45, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
