Just because the book said it doesn't mean they got it right. That word only turns up 13 hits on Google, and one of them is this entry itself. - Pilpsie

I wasn't claiming that it was right, but since it's an article title, it should probably correspond to the title given in the book. The parenthetical note is there to indicate the meaning.
...Although I guess if I argue that, I have to call the characters "Hoan Meirin" and "Medicin Melancory", so I concede the point. Change it back if you want. -7HS

Mmm. Want to see more of this translated, but my Japanese skills are definitely not up to the task. The one thing I can do is transcribe, though - but I'm not sure if that actually helps at all. Halbarad 08:36, 22 April 2007 (PDT)

I think it would. Otherwise translators would have to spend time transcribing instead of translating. -Psieye

Shouldn't we write "Eyewitness Reports" in 1 certain form or not?

It's very trivial, but I have one question: whether should we transcribe "Eyewitness Reports" in one form? Every Yokai has its item, "Eyewitness Reports". "Eyewitness Reports" is in the original text like this;

(Type-1)

・べっ、別にアンタのことが好きなわけじゃないんだからねっ。本当なんだからっ (博麗霊夢)

I - It's not true I love you! It's really never!

But when looking at transcriptions in this wiki, we can find many other forms.

(Type-2)

「べっ、別にアンタのことが好きなわけじゃないんだからねっ。本当なんだからっ。」 (博麗霊夢)

I - It's not true I love you! It's really never!

(Type-3)

べっ、別にアンタのことが好きなわけじゃないんだからねっ。

I - It's not true I love you!

本当なんだからっ (博麗霊夢)

It's really never!

Type-1 and Type-3 have no punctuation at the end of last sentence or no bracket at the start and end of speaking, while Type-2 has a new-made punctuation. On the other hand, Type-1 and Type-2 are on 1 line, while Type 3 is on 2 lines. The original text is important, and any phrases spoken by 1 witness should be combined to be in 1 table (because we can't understand soon with Type-3 where witness report starts from), so we should make all the transcriptions of "Eyewitness Reports" like Type-1, if it would be better. --Masuo64 23:56, 18 March 2008 (PDT)

I agree, will start switching pages to type-1 for the sake of consistency and readability. Tyle 01:50, 11 April 2008 (PDT)
Oh, thank you so much for your quick work! I thought I would do that, but what you have done instead of me is great and effective. Thank you! --Masuo64 23:09, 18 April 2008 (PDT)

Shouldn't we make a link to each character?

In this page, there are many links to the transcription pages of PMiSS article, and we can jump at the pages. But perhaps there may be many times for us to jump from the character pages (or our watchlists!) When we want to jump from our watchlists to each transcription, we can't get to character pages without search engine.

Now in the transcription pages we have an only link to the PMiSS page. I think it should be better to make in transcription page a link of character page. How do you think about this idea? --Masuo64 23:56, 18 March 2008 (PDT)

Do you mean like this? -Winane 00:58, 19 March 2008 (PDT)
Oops, I'm sorry. It's an unkind explaination. Your method to add a link is good. But my suggestion is like this --- When we click the "edit" tag on the article page, the edit box appears in front of our eyes. On the top of texts in the edit box, you can find "* Return to Perfect Memento in Strict Sense". I think the page would be more useful if we make a link "Return to [Character]. It's like [this], because we can get to that page from the Cirno page.
Nah, I think it'd be better to just hyperlink the names at the top of each translation table. Adding an additional "Return to [Character]" link would be redundant, and take up just a bit of space unnecessarily. So, I'll go ahead and linkify the character names. That'll serve the same purpose, and less obtrusively. -Winane 11:08, 21 March 2008 (PDT)
You're right, "Return to [Character]" eats too space. I'll follow your view and make the links, continuing after your editings. --Masuo64 00:45, 23 March 2008 (PDT)

Changing pages names to reflect changes.

I've attempted to perform the changes agreed upon (the Yuurei/Bourei to Phantom/Ghost) and am unable to make the adjustments on page to move the existing pages to the right areas. Could someone help?

Also we need to go over those pages for the change as some areas need rewording now because of the changes. Zelinko (talk) 02:52, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

I've moved the pages. For future reference, the move command can be found by hovering over or clicking on the arrow at the top right (located to the left of the search box and to the right of "View history"). Incidentally, although you changed the links for the pages you failed to change the species links right next to them. Arcorann (talk) 07:46, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

Secret collection?

While working on a Polish version of Marisa's subpage I've stumbled on this fragment (from "Occupation As A Thief" section):
"The Gensokyo Chronicles of the Hieda family have not, as yet, incurred damage, but it would be dangerous if the existence of this collection were to become public knowledge."
If this collection is a secret of Hieda family, then it could explain why there's so much uncertain/invalid informations in this publication (since those who were mentioned were unable to verify informations about them).
