Using Paypal-MasterCard in Paletweb

Paletweb stated that they have some problems about using Paypal-MasterCard there.

However, I have tried it, and success. It should be no problem.

--Luzi82 06:44, 6 April 2006 (PDT)

This is correct, I also bought some stuff from Paletweb using MasterCard via PayPal without any trouble. Maybe what they mean is that they can't accept MasterCard payments from non-PayPal buyers? (PayPal allows payments directly via Credit Cards.)

I think what they mean is that using the Virtual Card of Paypal might not work. Can someone verify this?

Tables

Like the English patches section, I created tables here that lists products and availabilities. This will provide a better understanding. Approve of this? --Ibflff88 20:59, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

Himeyashop.com

The dead link now redirects to www.gasmix.co.jp, a site about a Gas and Mechanical Engineering company. I believe www.himeyashop.com has been taken possession of a different company. Has Himeya gone out of business? If already known about it, then all Himeya links must be removed from this wiki.

Himeyashop is still on Facebook and Twitter, but they may not be active due to financial trouble? --Ibflff88 19:01, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

It seems it is my ISP (Cox) doing the redirecting, so himeyashop.com is still a dead link.--Ibflff88 07:47, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

I am removing Himeyashop links off the Buying Stuff article. Even though it's temporaily shut down due to Yen's rapid appreciation, it could turn permanent. I do not know when they will recover from this. Please continue to watch for Himeyashop.com for any possible activity. --Ibflff88 22:46, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

UPDATE 10/9/2011: It turned permanent. The domain is now parked with related searches and a picture of a girl. The shop is officially dead. --Ibflff88 17:55, 9 October 2011 (UTC)

Japanese store with no English version

I've recently found a store (www.bk1.jp) which sells quite a few of the print works (though I wasn't able to tell exactly which ones, since I can't read kanji and not all of them have images) at good prices (the better I've seen so far, but that may vary WILDLY depending on country and exchange rates) and many shipping options/fees.

Problem is, the site is entirely in Japanese. With some patience (and a little help from GoogleTranslator) I was able to find pretty much everything I wanted, including info on exports etc, without any real trouble (it's worth pointing that my knowledge of Japanese goes little beyond "arigatou" and "baka"). But this may cause problems for some, for example, when writing destination adresses on the order form or responding to eventual e-mails (since they'll likely be in Japanese).

So, should this store be added to the wiki? Perhaps with some warnings, or maybe a little tutorial on the ordering process? -- Peroim

Mule services

How about we list services that can buy Japanese stuff in general? And this is totally not a ploy to plug my own, nosiree. NForza 13:08, 20 September 2011 (UTC)

What's a mule service? - Kiefmaster99 20:44, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
Seems like a service where somebody goes and picks up stuff for you, which I guess is similar to proxy services. Relevant in the context of suppliers unwilling to distribute overseas (I'm looking at you Toranoana). - Kiefmaster99 01:00, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

Paletweb.com shut down?

Is it me, or has Paletweb been shut down? I can't access its homepage. Fsvgm777 (talk) 17:32, 30 March 2014 (UTC)

It seems Paletweb is really down, all Paletweb links now have the "SITE DOWN" tag. If Paletweb's domain gets parked or the site goes different instead of returning as before, then all the links should then be removed from the article. --Ibflff88 (talk) 08:08, 5 August 2014 (UTC)

Remove all (depricate) Toylet links?

Seeing their site copyright date 2004-2013 and their last update activity being April 8, 2014, the site Toylet.net appears that they have been not maintaining the site up to the present time. And no Touhou games had been restocked ever. I happened to order Gensou Shoujou Taisen back in October 2015, then after a period of inactivity I contacted them and they say they are out of stock and refunded the order. Still, they did not maintain the site.

So, do anyone think that all Toylet links be removed? --Ibflff88 (talk) 23:38, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
