I stage 6, Utsuho is mentioning "Ultimate Weapon"... Is she talking to the Atomic Bomb? Dandan550 09:45, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

More like the power of unlimited energy, which could be the Ultimate weapon at the same time. The Atomic bomb PALES in comparison. wrathie 19:59, 23 March 2009

She didn't mention nuclear fusion? I've assumed so, because I've heard it's very very difficult that it takes place on the present technology. --Masuo64 12:39, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
wasn't it Nuclear FISSION instead of fusion? Fusion we use it in nuclear power plants now right? wrathie
Is nuclear weapons Fission right? Dandan550 13:42, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
Not fission but fusion. The mankind on the world has the technology of nuclear fission, but doesn't nuclear fusion now. Normally what's brought into Gensoukyou is what's seen to be forgotten & useless nowadays, but nuclear fusion is what is seen to be out of our range owing to need of extreme height of technology. I understood ZUN thought that it was too difficult that we would control nuclear fusion, the reproduction of a sun, forever --- impossible things in our real world is supposed to be brought to Gensoukyou. And... the name of spellcard suggests so. --Masuo64 13:53, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
Ah SOU!! I blame ZUN for my error.. XD i forgot... and my apologies wrathie
OK let see, Nuclear Fission is the spiliting of Atoms or much like a chain reaction resulting if a free neutrons released by each fission event can trigger yet more events, which in turn release more neutrons and cause more fissions. This follows A-Bombs. But since Okuu mentioning "Nuclear Fusion" that is the process by which multiple like-charged atomic nuclei join together to form a heavier nucleus. It is accompanied by the release or absorption of energy. Since she fuses with the Yatagarasu. Dandan550 19:21, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

Actually, modern nuclear weapons do use nuclear fusion. The originals were fission weapons, though. However, the point about Gensokyo's industrial revolution being ahead of the outside world still stands, as so far we've yet to develop a good, reliable way to harness nuclear fusion for civilian purposes.
