For "Urban Legend in Limbo", I think it should be "Colored" since I saw it in game. Same with "Touhou Hisoutensoku". From now on, we should use the words that are seen in game. If it's "Coloured" like I saw in "Immaterial and Missing Power" and "Imperishable Night", then we'll use "Coloured" for those games only. But since I saw "Colored" in "Touhou Hisoutensoku" and "Urban Legend in Limbo", we should use "Colored" for those game only. Dialog vs. Dialogue

Although it says "Dialogue" is rarely used here, there seems to be more "Dialogue"s than "Dialog"s in this wiki...... Especially in page title matches. Deathsoul4 01:03, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

Oh, that's true as well lol. Thanks for pointing that out. Tony64 (Talk/Con.) 01:12, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

Comment re:soccer

For the game, it can only be referred to as Soccer. サッカー makes it explicit which spelling to use. - Kiefmaster99 20:07, 6 March 2012 (UTC)

Although it may be just in the use of American English, but I've never came across "-" used in normal sectences. Like on Reimu's page for eg, "Above everything, she hates spending great effort in striving for things - she does not believe hard work pays off". Can anyone clarify this? Tony64 (Talk/Con.) 20:36, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

The hyphen usage there is actually incorrect - it should probably be an em dash (—). See Dash on Wikipedia.--Tosiaki 21:11, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
Blame "-" on keyboard instead of having — on keyboard - KyoriAsh 21:43, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

Talk "In relation to the Japanese language and Touhou"

>If, for example, two people are translating Japanese (or in this case, any other language) and one uses British English and the other uses American
>English, there could be debates on what can be the correct spelling. For example, the Kanji "色" (iro) in Marisa Kirisame's theme "恋色マジック" from
>Story of Eastern Wonderland has been unofficially translated to "Love-coloured Magic" on the music article, where as her theme "恋色マスタースパーク" in
>Imperishable Night it has been unofficially translated to "Love-colored Master Spark" on the music article. This has caused confusion on this wiki.
This has nothing to do with the original Japanese sentence or the Japanese language. It's just a problem of how to translate (on this wiki), and putting this on this article feels very awkward.
And
> Reimu Hakurei's theme "春色小径 ~ Colorful Path" (Spring Lane ~ Colorful Path). ZUN appears to have spelt the word "colourful" the American way. This reason is unknown.
What reason is unknown? Like you already mentioned in the beginning of this topic, we use American English as a standard in Japan. The reason why ZUN is using "colorful" there is plain obvious, I believe(There may be other British English that ZUN used in his work, but this is not going to be an example). --Doncot (talk) 21:50, 25 May 2012 (UTC)

Ahah... Your right... Sorry about that. ^^' I'll admit that this is based on quick research since I haven't got a lot of knowledge about this topic. I'll try to change it to what it should be. Oh, and please, do feel free to change any of my subpages :) Tony64 (Talk/Con.) 21:59, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
What I think is that ZUN didn't even have accepted either of those two. He just goes for what he knows and have seen earlier, just like pretty much everyone who's native language isn't English (I think). Its not that a lot of people are aware of those differences anyway.
Oh, and ZUN used the "British style" too > "the Last Judgement". ☢ Quwanti 22:07, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
Just as I thought lol. Maybe it's best not to acknowledge "reason because standard form/reason unknown"? Tony64 (Talk/Con.) 22:13, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
Off-hand comment. The original spelling for "koiiro master spark" on the IN music article is "Love-coloured Master Spark". It was changed to "color" back in 2010 by an unknown editor. - Kiefmaster99 (talk) 15:14, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
