Spell Card 6 - 1
(Nanaken "Kokuryūjin Kurohime")
Seventh Sword "Black Dragon Blade: Kurohime" [1]
Owner
Yamata no Yato
Level 6 — 1
Comment
Translation
Aya: This attack references the folk story of Kurohime. There's no relation to Abe no Kiyohime.
Hatate: I wonder why she's keeping a treasured sword once used for snake elimination.
Tobiko: Why the Kusanagi in particular ended up as one of the Imperial Regalia of Japan is still a mystery to me.
Momiji: (It's no ordinary serpent-fighting sword, but rather a mythical deific sword that came from a serpent...)

Spell Card 6 - 2
(Kyūken "Ronchen Baojen")
Ninth Sword "Lóngquán Bǎojiàn" [2]
Owner
Yamata no Yato
Level 6 — 2
Comment
Translation
Aya: It's a demonic sword from the snake gods of China. She sure has connections...
Hatate: I recall the hermit in blue pridefully boasting about China's "vast and bountiful lands".
Tobiko: A sword from China... wait, so the Mori and Ukita clans had something like this?
Momiji: (It's said that we tengu originated from China... I wonder what kind of place it is like...)
Screenshot
Spell Card 6 - 3
(Kaijū "Kashiori Sakusen")
Appeasement "Operation Kashiori" [3]
Owner
Yamata no Yato
Level 6 — 3
Comment
Translation
Aya: She tried to win over us with a ton of "treasure sweets" (Poifull) ... [4]
Hatate: Ahh~ Since you're trying so hard, I'll try harder to, like, write about your strength~ *chew, chew*
Tobiko: This spell certainly can make readers (the player) believe in your strength. It's just like a magic trick.
Momiji: (I feel like some absolutely insensible remarks were just made...)

Spell Card 6 - 4
(Kanifu "Marin Inbēdā")
Crab Sign "Marine Invaders"
Owner
Suitenguu no Himemiko
Level 6 — 4
Comment
Hatate: 「
Translation
Aya: Crabs don't just walk sideways. They can move forward and backward, too.
Hatate: But, the real question is where all these crabs are coming from.
Tobiko: I heard that the warriors of the Battle of Dan-no-ura resurrected as aquatic life, and continue to watch over her.
Momiji: (They're clearly moving sideways, yet their aim is still so perfect...)
Screenshot
Spell Card 6 - 5
(Kairyū "Wa~ai Uzushio")
Ocean Current "Yaaay Whirlpool" [5]
Owner
Suitenguu no Himemiko
Level 6 — 5
Comment
Translation
Aya: That's strange. No one told me she could manipulate the flow of water.
Hatate: She must be making use of that minister's manipulation of ebb and flow.[6] How sneaky.
Tobiko: But it's fine as long as you don't arouse the audience's suspicion. Magic is no different.
Momiji: That minister isn't anywhere around here (on-screen) , so there's no choice but to attack Himemiko...)
Screenshot
Spell Card 6 - 6
"Watatsumi's Symphonia" [7]
Owner
Suitenguu no Himemiko
Level 6 — 6
Comment
Translation
Aya: Himemiko is energetically singing and jumping about. This must be her ultimate skill (Z-Move) !
Hatate: Not only is time fixed in place, but all eyes are fixed on her!
Tobiko: Indeed, to be both time-fixing and eye-fixing...! Most intriguing.
Momiji: (Hatate's pun was so bad that in another sense, I too was fixed in place.)

Spell Card 6 - 7
(Kefu "O-Sumō Kikku")
Kick Sign "Ō-Sumō Kick"
Owner
Nomi no Hanie
Level 6 — 7
Comment
Translation
Aya: Kicking was allowed in ancient sumo wrestles. That's what the youkai sage said.[8]
Hatate: I want to use cool kicking skills too, but they'd just reveal everything under my skirt.
Tobiko: Hah! Danmaku duels are games between just maidens, anyway. Don't be shy and charge right up!
Momiji: (No, you were male in your previous life...)

Spell Card 6 - 8
(Dogū "Ruruie Hanīwa")
Dogu "R'lyeh Haniwa" [9][10]
Owner
Nomi no Hanie
Level 6 — 8
Comment
Translation
Aya: These haniwa from the ocean depths (R'lyeh) don't seem like they were made to be attractive. But they're cute...
Hatate: I heard that the practice of burying the haniwa, or sinking it into the sea, was made to replace junshi traditions.
Tobiko: Hold up. I heard that in recent years, the theory that haniwa are sacrificial objects has been questioned.
Momiji: (Then its purpose... is that of a mascot...?)

Spell Card 6 - 9
11]("Hyōmin Kofun (Aisu Kofin)")
"Cold-Sleep Kofun (Ice Coffin)"
Owner
Nomi no Hanie
Level 6 — 9
Comment
Translation
Aya: Their Tougenkyuu is no ordinary grave. It seems to be capable of inducing cryogenic suspended animation.
Hatate: To achieve everlasting youth and life with cryogenics is truly an eternal dream of mankind.
Tobiko: Rumors say that the other clans from their age also had graves that were built with the same capabilities.
Momiji:(The kofun certainly is operational, yet the only confirmed survivors are the Tougenkyuu group...)

Spell Card 6 - 10
(Shinmon "Bamyūda Gēto")
Deep Gate "Bermuda Gate"
Owner
Nameless R'lyeh Fairy
Level 6 — 10
Comment
Aya: 「
Hatate: 「
Translation
Aya: Why have there been so many unusually strong fairies as of late?
Hatate: ...Wait, who's this...?
Tobiko: From my understanding, I think she's more of a collection of evil spirits rather than a fairy.
Momiji: (No, that says nothing about who this fairy is...)
Screenshot
Spell Card 6 - 11
(Shin'en "Atorantisu no Tachigu Pātī")
Deep Feast "Atlantis's Buffet Party" [12]
Owner
Nameless R'lyeh Fairy
Level 6 — 11
Comment
Translation
Aya: She's setting up a banquet. The blue and white tones aren't appetizing, though.
Hatate: So just who is this fairy? Let me search her up...
Tobiko: I see... she's a fairy who awoke from Tougenkyuu's depths due to a mutation.
Momiji: (The danmaku perfectly covers me up, so I can't see...)
Screenshot
Spell Card 6 - 12
(Shinrei "Erutanin Kondakutā")
Deep Spirit "Eltanin Conductor"
Owner
Nameless R'lyeh Fairy
Level 6 — 12
Comment

Translation
Aya: What a shocking display... a phantasmal out-of-place artifact from the ocean depths.
Hatate: It's, like, this mysterious antenna in the sea that no one has touched... just what is the reason behind its existence?
Tobiko: From my understanding, it's just seaweed, clumped in a way that stokes the imagination.
Momiji: (Humans are wont to pointing at phantasms of gods or youkai to describe the unknown.)

Notes

  1. Reference to the legend of Kurohime, in which the titular Kurohime is wed to a dragon.
'dragon spring's treasured sword'): a sword from Chinese legend, as well as the name of a sword production company in the city of Longquan.
  3. "Operation Yashiori," named after the yashiori-no-sake (eightfold brewed sake) used to kill the legendary Yamata-no-Orochi, is the military operation used to kill Godzilla in Shin Godzilla. "Kashiori" (菓子折り) refers to a box of sweets often given as an apology, bribe, or attempt to curry favor.
  4. A reference to the Japanese candy brand "Poifull".
  5. わぁい渦潮 (wa~ai uzushio / "yaaay, whirlpool!"): a memetic phrase that originated as a pun on "wa~ai usushio" ("yaaay, salted chips!"), itself a memetic line from the protagonist of YuruYuri.
  6. Hatate is referring to Takenouchi no Tarumi. Her profile states that Tarumi is "capable of manipulating ebb and flow".
  7. The Japanese name of the move "Oceanic Operetta" from Pokémon Sun and Moon.
  8. This is referring to Yukari's comments back in Riverbed Soul Saver on Hanie's spell card, Sumo "Jacob Wrestles the Angel".
  9. Dogu (土偶 Dogū, earthen figure) were clay figures made in prehistoric Japan (around 14,000–400 BC), as opposed to the haniwa figures made around 300–538 AD.
  10. Both the katakana spelling and the nature of the danmaku may be a reference to the Spell Card "Attack Haniwa" from the Touhou-inspired "Len'en Project" series.
  11. The kanji for Hyōmin (氷眠, cold sleep) is very similar to Eimin (永眠, eternal sleep).
  12. Based on "Atlantis's Buffet Party," a Spell Card belonging to the fan character Jinka Tatsuakari, from a speculative Ten Desires fangame made by the staff of Tri Focuser and its predecessor games.
