Hi miss transforming tanuki, do you have any idea of anybody who could help me out with [[Talk:Touhou_Pocket_Wars_2nd#1.05_patch_.28Prismriver_sisters.29_and_English_patch|this patch compatibility problem]] or [[Talk:Touhou_Pocket_Wars_2nd#General_TPW2_wiki_updates|these TPW2 wiki issues]]? If not, is there any helpful information you could provide me with?

:::Looks like I have some fiddling I have to do, once I do that I'll change your username.  Outside of that, you could ask on the IRC channel (#touhouwiki on irc.esper.net).  There might be someone there, it's usually pretty quiet so it helps to idle awhile.  :3  [[User:Mamizou|Mamizou]] ([[User talk:Mamizou|talk]]) 05:12, 14 May 2014 (UTC)

::::Alright, I appreciate the help. Turns out the coding was on Chinese instead of Japanese (blame me for not knowing the difference and thinking "wow so many kanji"): I might be able to handle it with Google Translate, but if there was anybody with any Chinese knowledge I'm sure they could be very helpful simply by being available for me to ask about this and that. I'll be sure to try the IRC channel ^-^. --[[User:Riddle | Naï]] ([[User talk:Riddle|talk]]) 15:03, 14 May 2014 (UTC)

== German Touhou Wiki ==

Hey Mamizou!
My Name is Arebs and i'm from the German Touhou Forum.
I got some Question about the German Wiki, but because I have not found a contact for the German Wiki I need to ask someone here.

Currently, I'm the Administrator of the German Touhou Forum. Many of the old Members, which try to make Touhou popular in Germanys have fallen out, because the most of them were stubborn and had different ideas, which do not fit together.
We, I and my team from the Touhou Forum, want to try that what the others have not done: make Touhou finally popular here in Germany. We have worked out a plan which contains a Rework of the German Wiki. First, I try to login with my old Account. But it was gone. Therefore I've made a new account here. But now I have another problem: We don't know anything about the owner of the German Wiki. Is the Wiki in your Hands? And if yes, is it possible to get a new local Administrator for the German wiki?

Thanks in advance and Greetings
Arebs

P.S I hope you can read my English, it's not the best xD

:Your English is just fine!  Anyway:

:* If you know your old account I can merge your new one with your old one and get everything working again.
:* Yep the German wiki is still hosted with us, but there's no one 'owning' it, no current admins or bureaucrats or anything.
:* No one's touched the old German wiki in forever and I'd love to see it active again.  If you'd like someone set as admin/bureaucrat of it let me know.

:Let me know what I can do to help!  [[User:Mamizou|Mamizou]] ([[User talk:Mamizou|talk]]) 09:16, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

:: Thanks for your answer and for your help!
:: My old Account got the same Name  like the new too, Arebs, if you can merge them it would be great.
:: If you can set me as a local bureaucrat I can handle the other things for the German wiki. If I need to do something, to get your trust, just tell it to me.
:: --[[User:Arebs|Arebs]] ([[User talk:Arebs|talk]]) 10:05, 9 August 2014 (UTC)
:::I assume you registered on the German wiki when it was stand-alone for awhile; the user accounts on that weren't merged in with the mainline Touhou Wiki database.  Anyway, I've promoted you to Bureaucrat of the German wiki;  please check out the [[Help:Group_rights|Group rights]] article for more info on what's required of staff members.  Thanks and good luck!  [[User:Mamizou|Mamizou]] ([[User talk:Mamizou|talk]]) 17:23, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

==That special English interview==
Hello, have you received my IRC message regarding the special case of an English interview with ZUN? I hope we can discuss it further using email or MotK PM!
[[User:Cuc]]
:Why don't you just add the transcription yourself?  There are already [[ZUN#ZUN_Speaks|other interviews]] available, they should be a good guide for the format to follow.  Keep in mind all edits to the wiki are under the CC-BY-SA license.  Also I don't talk on MoTK.  [[User:Mamizou|Mamizou]] ([[User talk:Mamizou|talk]]) 00:46, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
::Problem is that the author requires us to attach a link to the book's Amazon page, turning the interview into an ad, which is unprecedented, so I requested your approval. The interview is of course not CC license. I'm considering posting it on MotK, and link to it from the wiki, since there are precedents for that.[[User:Cuc]]
:::Well, I personally don't see a problem if you're borrowing any external source and referencing it. Also, the requirement to attach a link to the book's webpage is conditional permission. I would just link to it via hyperlink or similar as to where the reference was copied or drawn from. See [[ZUN's AWA Q&A Panel]]. So something like "This transcript is adapted from "name of book + hyperlink."
:::Additional note: Many references on Wikipedia itself are drawn from scientific journals that require a subscription. Free sources are desired whenever possible, yes, but if necessary other helpful sources of information ought to be considered. [[User:Kiefmaster99|- Kiefmaster99]] ([[User talk:Kiefmaster99|talk]]) 15:09, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
::::Linking to store pages is allowed too. I think I've figured out how to present the interview. Thanks![[User:Cuc]]

==Cirno Chiru would like to take over the German Touhou wiki==
:As the title already says, i would like to take over the german version of touhouwiki.
:I'll try to translate and edit much and fit it to the current style of the english version, the german version of it looks yeah... more like the touhouwikia somehow.
:That's why i would like to ask if i can join the team? *smiles*
:Currently i'm working on Sukuna and Wakasagihime in the german wiki, if you like to look at these, I translate them directly from english to german.
:Actually i have also another question, thats because of the character info boxes on the german wiki, maybe it should get a update, since they fall out of the raster. - [[User:Cirno_Chiru]]
::Hi; I've promoted you to Admin/CU.  After a probationary period I'll promote you to Bureaucrat.  Just FYI, bureaucrats are required to idle on the Touhou Wiki IRC channel, in case something happens and real-time communication is required.  Admins are not required to, but are recommended to do so.  Let me know if you have any issues; thanks for helping and good luck!  :3  [[User:Mamizou|Mamizou]] ([[User talk:Mamizou|talk]]) 23:30, 28 December 2014 (UTC)
:::I just realized, [[:de:Benutzer:Arebs|Arebs]] requested bureaucratship of the German wiki.  I'd like you both to be admins until you both can coordinate who'd be what.  Thanks.  [[User:Mamizou|Mamizou]] ([[User talk:Mamizou|talk]]) 23:38, 28 December 2014 (UTC)
:::: I´m thinking that we can share it together, since its a lot of work and a wide spreading area. But what about that Character Infobox layout? ^_^ Thank you for the trust and promotion in regards, i hope we work well together :)  - [[User:Cirno_Chiru]]

== About Len'en ==

Hi Mamizou :) There are a few things I'd like to ask about Len'en stuff. Firstly, is it possible to add the new Len'en Wiki "http://lenen.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Len%27en_Wiki" to the interwiki table under the prefix 'lenen'? Now that this wiki is slowly coming together, it'll be great to have this wiki linking to it officially. Now secondly, what about the Len'en content on this wiki? Of course, everyone doesn't want the content on this wiki, safe for [[Len'en Project]] itself and its games, so they'll need to be deleted ASAP. I've noticed already that all the character-related articles are up for deletion; are all sub-pages to game articles and most of Len'en images (such as spell cards and character images) also up for deletion? If you or others are busy and can't delete them or something like that, I don't mind going through them and deleting them if that's the case.

Also, I should say this while I'm at it: in case you're wondering about my view on [[Talk:Touhou Wiki#Lenen series character pages|this issue that time]], I only did what I though would be best for other people who wanted to find Len'en content at the right place; I knew I couldn't continue my argument any longer as it was distressing even for me to go into deeper details to find support for Len'en, so I didn't reply to further comments and let things take its course. I tend to do that though, try and be as thorough as possible. Thanks the new wiki though, I've grown a lot to the idea and now think this was the best root after all. I hope that's understandable (funny how I change my point of view...^^;). Anyway, any reply will be appreciated regarding my two comments above, thank you :) {{User:Tony64/Sig}} 01:46, 29 May 2015 (UTC)

As I mentioned on his own page, he has seen the ULiL/Chars talk page, but inexplicably avoids discussing it in favor of just pushing through his own edits and reverting others' whenever possible. This is reminiscent of similar behaviour he's done in the past (as I show in the ULiL/Chars talk), which you have given him a warning for before. Let me ask you another request. I hope to add the "동방위키:" (東方 + Wiki in Korean language) as the value of $wgSitename ("Touhou Wiki:" as namespace) in php setting, like the "东方维基:" in Chinese Touhou Wiki. Will it be possible? Thanks. --[[User:Garam|Garam]] ([[User talk:Garam|talk]]) 11:06, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
:That'll be nice, but there's one thing I want to say: I think it should be "동방 위키" or "동방 프로젝트 위키", for the sake of spacing. [[User:Mario1star|Mario1star]] ([[User talk:Mario1star|talk]]) 12:09, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
:* Note:
::'''[[Touhou Wiki|동방 위키]]''' (Dongbang-wiki) = [[:wikt:東方|동방]] + [[:wikt:위키|위키]]

::But, [[:mw:Sites using MediaWiki/ko|many korean language wiki using MediaWiki]] (and [[:w:ko:한국어 위키위키|many Korean language wiki using other wiki software]]) isn't space out in words. Thanks. --[[User:Garam|Garam]] ([[User talk:Garam|talk]]) 13:49, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
:::Thanks for sharing your point. However, after looking at the list of wikis you provided, I came to a conclusion that most of the wikis' titles aren't spaced out in words because they serve as mere titles and do not directly refer to specific content. 나무위키, 구스위키, and 오리위키 are examples of wikis whose titles don't refer to specific contents since they serve as a hub for contents with many different topics. Many wikis that mainly cover a specific content do have spaced titles. For example, 포켓몬 위키, which is a Korean language wiki dedicated to the media franchise Pokémon, is spaced out.
:::This is just my speculation, though. Feel free to correct me. [[User:Mario1star|Mario1star]] ([[User talk:Mario1star|talk]]) 14:21, 15 February 2016 (UTC)

== Audio samples for circle pages ==

I wanted to know what you considered to be the acceptable number of audio samples for a circle page? So far I've only used one audio sample per page (1-1.5mb on average) but I don't feel that's really enough for groups with longer running discographies or a greater verity in their arrangement style. I think that 2 is sufficient but 3 is preferable, I didn't want to set a bad president so I'm asking before I change from 1 per circle page. I thought about asking the irc but I wasn't sure if that was the right place, sorry if this isn't the right place to ask either.

Second, about the irc channel, is there anyway to read the archived messages? Cause whenever I log out, I can't read the messages that had been posted before I logged in again.

Please answer my questions, thank you very very much.

== Extension for Vietnamese Wiki ==

Hello, we are currently working to create a more easy-to-maintain and easy-to-update system for our Vietnamese Wiki, and for that we would like to install the following 4 Mediawiki extensions:

[https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Semantic_MediaWiki Semantic MediaWiki]
Do we have the [https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Arrays#Installation Array extension] on the wiki? I tried using it but it wasn't working, if we don't have it may I request that it's added to the wiki's extensions please? I could probably do what I'm trying to by using the parser functions we already have but it would be allot cleaner if I could just use an array. I have to continue working on planB if the extension won't be added to please let me know either way. [[User:Ycdtosa|Ycdtosa]] ([[User talk:Ycdtosa|talk]]) 07:48, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
:I can, yeah.  Anything you can't do with Lua scripting?  [[User:Mamizou|Mamizou]] ([[User talk:Mamizou|talk]]) 00:15, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
::i don't know Lua scripting or any other programming language actually, I just know what I've read about wiki markup on a couple of mediawiki help pages. All I'm trying to do is automate the first sentence of the musicartical templates description (you know the "It features arrangements of etc." part), the page already calls templates for each original title so it wouldn't be hard to automate the first sentence by defining variables on each of those templates. The problem is having them sorted properly, the best I could come up with using my limited knowledge of wiki marup was a string of statements that would run through all the main games, music CDs, print works and other works in order to display the list in the correct order. It seemed like it would be too cluttered so when I did some googling I found that array extension, it has a sort function as well as options for listing things with the appropriate punctuation and grammar. It's basically exactly what I was looking for, although since I don't know anything about Lua scripting it could be that it's entirely possible without the extension. I'd wager that it probably is doable without the extension, but I don't know how. I will say that the extension seems pretty useful even beyond my own interest in it, I was kind of surprised we didn't have it already. Also, I can't get the page to show [https://onsen.touhouwiki.net/wiki/File:Kikaisencover.jpg this] image.  I remember having this sort of problem a long time ago, but I can't remember how to get it to work now. ^^;; [[User:Flan27|Flan27]] ([[User talk:Flan27|talk]]) 02:44, 11 December 2016 (UTC)

Just to learn about the history and the points of view of all involved parties, without me defending or attacking either side.

Can you please delete this image right [https://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/File:AMRS-EP02.jpg here]? I want to upload the one with the real album number.
I do know that WikiDex (the Spanish version of Bulbapedia, the Pokémon encyclopedia) left FANDOM because of the portable-infobox controversy (indeed, it is WikiDex who coined up FANDOOM), and that most recently other wikis left because of the domain-name change (from wikia.com to fandom.com). In the past I was created by mistake the article [[Mediawiki:Mainpage-nstab]] of Korean Touhou Wiki, and I deleted it later. But the header of the article "main page" (literally "대문" in Korean language) still displayed. Maybe I think I can't straighten out this problem, because I don't have technical rights. == 21 parameters in [[Template:Cite web]] implicitly invoking a non-existent template ==

== Some questions about deleting unused doujin music images ==
I noticed that '''{{tl|Cite web}}''', when using the <code>doi=</code> parameter (mentioned on the template's documentation), blurts out a red-link "[[Template:Citation/identifier]]" error message. I also discovered that the <code>isbn=</code> parameter does the same thing, and when both ISBN and DOI are used, the red-link error is blurted out twice. There are 19 other parameters that serve a similar purpose and, suspectingly, will also trigger the same error if used. Has the webmaster here forgotten to implement Template:Citation/identifier (and maybe other support templates not normally called by normal editors)?

So what I would like is the ability to delete images since I find myself restrained by not knowing the catalog numbers of most albums leading up to events, I understand it might presumptuous of me to ask but I think I've contributed enough to show I won't misuse it. But more than just asking for it I want to know if it would actually be useful for old images to be deleted, I don't know the ins and outs of it but we share images with a number of other language wikis, so would deleting unused images here effect them? In practice I would use the ability to upload images knowing I could delete them in favor of the correct naming format later, but I'd prefer just uploading with the album title and uploading again down the line if I find the catalog number.
I think this is worth your attention because I am testing a new template, <nowiki>{{</nowiki>User:SilSinn9801/Cite book<nowiki>}}</nowiki>, in my sandbox userspace (with the intention of, sometime in the future, requesting it to be moved into mainspace as '''<nowiki>{{</nowiki>Cite book<nowiki>}}</nowiki>'''), and I would like the ISBN (and ISSN) parameters to work the same way they work on other wikis (like Wikipedia). ‐‑'''''[[User:SilSinn9801|<font color="red">Silent Sinner in Scarlet</font>]]''''' ([[Special:Contributions/SilSinn9801|SilSinn9801]])[[User talk:SilSinn9801#top|&#x1F4AC;]] 22:31, 4 April 2019 (UTC)

i don't know Lua scripting or any other programming language actually, I just know what I've read about wiki markup on a couple of mediawiki help pages. Hello,
