Notes

  1. Can also be read as "Fairy High-Low", in keeping with the "High-Low Fairies" nickname displayed in-game.
  2. A reference to the Ame-no-Habakiri sword that was used to slay Yamata-no-Orochi in Japanese mythology.
  3. References the moves Rain Dance (あまごい / 雨乞い) and Thunder (かみなり / 雷) from the Pokémon franchise. Rain Dance causes the 'rain' weather condition, during which Thunder has a 100% accuracy rate.
  4. A reference to the Totsuka-no-Tsurugi sword, which makes various appearances in Japanese mythology.
  5. References the moves Sunny Day (にほんばれ / 日本晴れ) and Solar Beam (ソーラービーム) from the Pokémon franchise. Sunny Day causes the 'harsh sunlight' weather condition, during which Solar Beam can be used immediately without a charging period.
  6. References the move Tailwind (おいかぜ / 追風) from the Pokémon franchise, which raises the party's speed stat.
  7. References the moves Hail (あられ / 霰) and Blizzard (ふぶき / 吹雪) from the Pokémon franchise, as well as the passive ability Snow Cloak (ゆきがくれ / 雪隠れ). Hail activates a weather condition of the same name, during which Blizzard has a 100% accuracy rate. Pokémon with Snow Cloak have a higher evasion rate during hail.
  8. Possibly references the passive ability Sand Force (すなのちから / 砂の力) from the Pokémon franchise, held by several Pokémon including the Legendary Pokémon Landorus.
  9. The game's files include an unused Spell Card name,「三剣気流 -画竜点睛-」 ("Three Swords' Air Stream -Dragon's Finishing Touch-"). This presumably references the passive ability Delta Stream and the move Dragon Ascent (ガリョウテンセイ / 画竜点睛) from the Pokémon franchise. Both belong to the Legendary Pokémon Mega Rayquaza, in keeping with Azuma's other two final Spell Cards.
  10. "蛇切" (literally 'snake-cutter'), as mentioned in Azuma's profile, refers to the Ame-no-Habakiri sword used to slay Orochi. The modern pronunciation would be somewhat different, but "haba-kiri" has the same meaning of 'snake-cutter' in archaic Japanese.
  11. References the passive ability Primordial Sea (はじまりのうみ / 始まりの海) and the move Origin Pulse (こんげんのはどう / 根源の波動) from the Pokémon franchise. Both belong to the Legendary Pokémon Primal Kyogre.
  12. References the passive ability Desolate Land (おわりのだいち / 終わりの大地) and the move Precipice Blades (だんがいのつるぎ / 断崖の剣) from the Pokémon franchise. Both belong to the Pokémon Primal Groudon.
  13. High shade tolerance is one of several features closely associated with climax species status.
