< Stage 5   Wily Beast and Weakest Creature strategy   Extra >

Stage Portion[edit]

Survival[edit]

For the midboss, you can spin and cheese Mayumi's attack. For it to work, you'll have to spin a little close to her and you'll have to quickly start turning the other direction when she stops shooting.

Scoring[edit]

Work in progress.

Secret[edit]

The level's secret Rare Beast Spirit is Haniwa Horse. It is rewarded for defeating the midboss with a broken Roaring Mode (by pressing X or by getting hit).
Once consumed in a Roaring Mode, Haniwa Horse will change the Roaring Mode timeout rewards to:

  • 1 Life Fish;
  • 4 Beast Spirits.

Unless you are desperate for one extra life piece, this Rare Beast Spirit isn't worth the trouble to set it up, and is also not worth having to sacrifice the two extra spirits that are given after Roaring Mode ends without getting hit.

Boss Fight[edit]

Square Shape "Square-Shaped Sculpting Art"
Owner
Keiki Haniyasushin
Stage 6 — Easy
Editor's Comment
The square formation means that gaps will be smaller near the corners of the square. Pay close attention to the incoming cluster of corners ahead of time when the flurry of squares starts getting fired.

Editor's Comment
Same as Easy. It's best to bomb if you see a cluster of corners incoming that you don't think you can dodge.

方形「スクエアクリーチャー」 (Houkei "Sukuea Kurīchā")
Square Shape "Square Creature"
Owner
Keiki Haniyasushin
Stage 6 — Hard
Editor's Comment
Same as Normal. Some gaps will close off as the bullets approach the bottom, so you don't want to hug the bottom all the way.

円形「真円造形術」 (Enkei "Maen Zoukeijutsu")
Circular Shape "Perfect Circle Sculpting Art"
Owner
Keiki Haniyasushin
Stage 6 — Easy
Editor's Comment
While perfect circles are indeed formed, make no mistake - this attack is random, through and through. This attack has two parts; the first is where a fixed arrangement of circles is formed, as shown in these screenshots. The second is where, after the orbs are called back, Keiki sends the orbs to form circles in your current location, before calling them back again. There will be four circles on Easy, and five otherwise, for the second part.

One strategy is to hide in a bottom corner during the first past. Then either misdirect all four aimed circles of the second part, or sit under Keiki and speed-kill her, depending on how confident you are. For the misdirection option, have Keiki fire the first two circles below her, have the third one on the left, and the last one above Keiki (fly over her!). This will leave a gap directly under Keiki so that you can go in and deal a bit more damage to her before she calls back the orbs.

Note that the bullets in this attack cannot be cleared, so your Roaring Mode won't protect you very well.

Editor's Comment
Same as Easy. But, the second part now has five circles sent at you. As per before, either misdirect all five aimed circles of the second part, or sit under Keiki and speed-kill her, depending on how confident you are. For the misdirection option, have Keiki fire the first two circles below her, have the third one on the lower left, the fourth on the top left, and the last on the top right - this will leave a gap directly under Keiki so that you can go in and deal a bit more damage to her before she calls back the orbs.

円形「サークルクリーチャー」 (Enkei "Sākuru Kurīchā")
Circular Shape "Circle Creature"
Owner
Keiki Haniyasushin
Stage 6 — Hard
Editor's Comment
Same as Normal. For the second part, it will be much tougher to sit under Keiki to speed-kill her, but you can try it if you're confident. The misdirection strategy for the second part still works perfectly fine, though, and is best used if you don't mind being patient with the attack.

線形「線形造形術」 (Senkei "Senkei Zoukeijutsu")
Linear Shape "Line-Shaped Sculpting Art"
Owner
Keiki Haniyasushin
Stage 6 — Easy
Editor's Comment
Pay close attention to the bullets fired by Keiki, then avoid the lasers that follow. There will be four waves of lasers, and it is likely for the last wave to be delayed. After you have dodged the bullets, avoiding the lasers always should be top priority - Keiki is very likely to move away from your shot, regardless of how hard you try. Be patient.

Note that Otter's Roaring Mode will split up the lasers, making it very hard to avoid them. It is unable to erase the bullets before they create lasers, making it thoroughly unhelpful for survival purposes.

線形「線形造形術」 (Senkei "Senkei Zoukeijutsu")
Linear Shape "Line-Shaped Sculpting Art"
Owner
Keiki Haniyasushin
Stage 6 — Normal
Editor's Comment
Same as Easy. From here on forth, the bullets will be very fast, so don't be distracted by the lasers, especially since the delayed fourth wave of lasers will likely overlap with the next wave of bullets.

Spell Card 071
線形「リニアクリーチャー」 (Senkei "Rinia Kurīchā")
Linear Shape "Linear Creature"
Owner
Keiki Haniyasushin
Stage 6 — Hard
Editor's Comment
Same as Normal. Even without deliberately timing out, the attack will quickly worsen over time, so clear the pattern fast.

線形「リニアクリーチャー」 (Senkei "Rinia Kurīchā")
Linear Shape "Linear Creature"
Owner
Keiki Haniyasushin
Stage 6 — Lunatic
Editor's Comment
Same as Normal. The rate at which the attack worsens over time is now very great, so you might have to use a bomb if Keiki keeps moving away from your attacks and you meet a tough wave of lasers.

Avoid the regions where entire yellow walls of arrows intersect. (i.e. look out for an unblocked slanted safe passageway). Don't worry too much about killing the cavalry - instead, make sure you don't get rammed by their sides.

Same as Normal. The yellow arrows' safe zones will now be short-lived, due to the increased length of the intersecting walls of arrows. Resist the urge to kill off the cavalry - focus on survival, then on Keiki.

Editor's Comment
Same as Hard. The yellow arrows' safe zones will now be short-lived, due to the increased length of the intersecting walls of arrows. Resist the urge to kill off the cavalry - focus on survival, then on Keiki. There are multiple ways to spot and make use of the safe zones for the yellow arrows, so you must practice this pattern and be confident with it.

「鬼形造形術」 ("Kikei Zoukeijutsu")
"Oni-Shaped Sculpting Art"
Owner
Keiki Haniyasushin
Stage 6 — Easy
Editor's Comment
The red walls are static, and the blue pattern is aimed at you, and thus it is possible to capture this pattern the same way each time. Take the initiative to dodge the slow red walls before they push you into a corner.

「鬼形造形術」 ("Kikei Zoukeijutsu")
"Oni-Shaped Sculpting Art"
Owner
Keiki Haniyasushin
Stage 6 — Hard
Editor's Comment
Same as Normal. The red walls are now very fast, so you might have to make a few unfocused dodges if you want to speed-kill Keiki. Otherwise you might prefer memorizing your own most-comfortable route.

Spell Card 080
「鬼形造形術」 ("Kikei Zoukeijutsu")
"Oni-Shaped Sculpting Art"
Owner
Keiki Haniyasushin
Stage 6 — Lunatic
Editor's Comment
Same as Hard. At around the 50s mark, move to the far left and dodge through the gap in the red walls before they all close off. From 45s to 42s, either keep to the right side, or stay shooting directly under Keiki and perform an unfocused rightwards dodge through two red walls stacked directly on each other. The latter option is heavily discouraged unless you're very confident, but it will allow you to end the attack very quickly.

Spell Card 081
「ジオメトリッククリーチャー」 ("Jiometorikku Kurīchā")
"Geometric Creature"
Owner
Keiki Haniyasushin
Stage 6 — Easy
Editor's Comment
While trying to capture this spell in Spell Practice (or in general), it's important to remember that using Roaring Mode to survive a bullet will call off the spell capture bonus and thus make you lose an attempt in Spell Practice — even though you might've beaten the spell. As such, it's recommended to instead cut short Roaring Mode by pressing X in a tricky situation. This does not cancel the spell capture bonus, in spite of the fact that it removes nearby bullets when performed.
The pattern is straightforward dodging. Stay focused, and intentionally cut short Roaring Mode if you're in a pinch.

Editor's Comment
Same as Hard. This pattern is exceptionally dense. For consistency, a great deal of memorization is advised. Moving between the bottom-left and -right corners is not advised, since the damage dealt won't be enough, even if it can maximize the effectiveness of misdirection and make the gaps bigger.
For survival purposes, ending Roaring Mode when the bullets are coming down tends to work better than doing it when they halt after first spawning out.
