Notes
- ↑ The word "Heavenless" can also mean "Asura" (Seira's species). Thus in this context, the spell name means "Asura Path", one of the Six Paths of Buddhism
- ↑ The Sanskrit portion of each of Seira's spells is the name of an Asura, each with their own legend or story that relates to the spell's pattern
- ↑ The "Time of Meeting Demons" in Japanese mythology is during dusk, when youkai and demons begin to appear.
- ↑ Brahma granted Hiranyakasipu a body that could not be defeated at day or at night, by any weapon, within a room or outside, and by man or deity. Vishnu appeared and was able to slay Hiranyakasipu by doing it at dusk (neither day nor night), with his claws (not a weapon), on a doorstep (neither inside nor outside a room), and in the form of a man-lion (neither man nor deity).
- ↑ Hiranyaksha kidnapped the goddess of the earth and hid under the sea, causing the world to be sunken underwater. Vishnu eventually battled and slew Hiranyaksha, in the form of a man-boar.
- ↑ Referring to a legend where Vishnu had disguised himself as a dwarf named Vamana and begged the Asurendra Bali for as much land as he could acquire in just three steps. Upon agreeing, Vamana became very huge and crossed the Three Realms in two steps. As a result, Bali relinquished his right to rule the Three Realms, and Vamana had used the third step to stomp on Bali's head and send him to the netherworld.
- ↑ Referring to Vritra, said to either be a large dragon/serpent or a powerful Asurendra. Vrita is known for having caused a major drought by cutting off the world's water supply, before being killed by Indra with a lightning bolt.
- ↑ Reference to Tripura, three floating cities (a gold city in Heaven, a silver city on Earth, and an iron city in the Netherworld) gifted by Brahma to Tarakasura's three sons as reward for their painstaking devotion. Theses three cities were said to be nearly completely impenetrable, and could only be destroyed if they were attacked in a single line.
- ↑ Referring to the sword Chandrahas, gifted to Ravana by Shiva to reward the former's piety.
- ↑ Referring to Jalandhara, an asura who had emerged from Shiva's fury. At one point, Jalandhara had been blessed to remain invincible as long as his wife Vrinda remained chaste, and ruled the three realms for a time therafter. However, to counteract this blessing, Vishnu had taken on Jalandhara's form and seduced Vrinda. Jalandhara and Vishnu then engaged in a fierce battle which Jalandhara had lost, with Jalandhara returning to Shiva's forehead after his death.
