お花畑に謎の文様	Mysterious Pattern in Flowerbed
新手のミステリーサークルか？し	A new kind of crop circle?
○月○日、紅魔館のお花畑に突如として謎の文様が現れた。文様は五芒星の形をしており、紅魔館ではミステリーサークルではないか、とささやかれている。ただ、文様の部分は花がなぎ倒されているのではなく、その部分だけ色が白色の花に変わって、紅一面の花畑に白い五芒星が浮き出ているのだ。	On X the Xth, a strange pattern suddenly appeared in the garden of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. The figure of a five-pointed star was visible among the flowers, and people began to whisper about crop circles at the manor. However, the pattern wasn't formed by flattened flora, but rather the flowers forming the pattern had all turned white, as if a group of white flowers had sprung up among the crimson ones.
この異常事態に紅魔館では、これが噂のミステリーサークルと呼ばれる物ではないか、と言われている。ミステリーサークルとは、突如として田畑等に幾何学的な模様が現れる摩訶不思議な現象である。ただ実際には見た者が居るわけではなく、噂だけの現象だった。	People are saying this strange state of affairs at the Scarlet Devil Mansion is an example of the much-rumored crop circle. Crop circles are a highly mysterious phenomena where geometric patterns appear in fields. However, nobody had ever seen one before, so it had remained a mere rumor.
紅魔館の主、レミリア・スカーレットさん（吸血鬼）は今回の現象についてこう語る。	The mistress of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, Remilia Scarlet (vampire), had this to say about the phenomenon:
「あら、ミステリーサークルって縁起が良い物ね。お花畑に白色のスター。これは白星って意味でいいんだよね?」	"Crop circles are a good omen, aren't they? The white star in a flower field is surely a symbol of victory, no?
誰に対しての白星なのか分からないが、見た目にも鮮やかな文様は見ていて気持ちが良い。ミステリーサークルが縁起の良い物というのは間違いなさそうだ。	It's unclear whose victory it's meant to represent, but it certainly leaves a positive impression. Crop circles certainly do seem to be good omens of sorts.
この花畑を管理するのは、紅魔館の門番、紅美鈴さん（妖怪）。彼女にも今回の事件について聞いてみた。	The individual who cares for the garden in question is the Scarlet Devil Mansion's gatekeeper, Hong Meiling (youkai). I asked her about this incident, as well.
「本当にミステリーサークルなんですか？　全然サークル状になっていないのですが……。私はまた怒られると思ってヒヤヒヤもんだったのですよ。お花畑は私の管理下だから。今すぐ元に戻せとか言われても、どうすればこんな不思議な事が出来るのか皆目見当がつかないので、お嬢様が気に入っていただけて助かりましたよ」	"Is it really a crop circle? It doesn't really look like one to me... I was so scared at first because I thought she'd get mad again. I'm in charge of taking care of the garden, after all. Even if she told me to change it back, I don't have the slightest idea how to do that, or how it happened, so I'm so glad the mistress likes it."
今でも紅魔館の花畑は五芒星の形をした部分だけ白色に変色している。星形のミステリーサークルは、刺激的な紅色の花畑をより一層刺激的に見せる。これが誰が何のために行われたのか判らないが、一部では宇宙人の仕業ではないかとまで言われている。	Even now, the mansion's garden has a white star formed by the flowers that have changed colors. The star-shaped crop circle makes the brilliant scarlet flower garden even more amazing to look at. Nobody knows who did this or why, but some posit that this is the work of aliens.

Meiling	結局、お嬢様が飽きたから、元に戻せって言われてしまった	Well, the mistress finally got tired of it, so she told me to change the garden back.
Aya	まだ戻っていませんね。星形の文様。	So the star pattern is still there?
Meiling	だって、どうやって花の色を変えたのかも分からないし、そんなの戻せって言われても戻せないじゃないの	I don't even know how to make flowers change colors, so there's nothing I can do.
Aya	お嬢様にそう伝えてきましょうか？	Why don't you try telling her that?
Meiling	それは駄目です～	But that won't do me any good.
Aya	花が枯れるまで誤魔化し続けるとか	Why don't you try tricking her somehow until they wilt?
Meiling	そんな事できる訳ないですよ～	There's no way I could do that.
Aya	でも、このまま放っておいても怒られるだけなんじゃ無いですか？無理な物は無理と言った方が	Well, she'll get angry if you don't do anything, right? You should just tell her it's impossible.
Meiling	そんなこと、言えるわけが無いじゃないですか。最初から出来ないって事が判っていてそう言っているんですよ。お嬢様は人をからかうのがお好きですから……しくしく	How could I when she already knows I have no idea what to do? The mistress just likes teasing people... Boo-hoo...
Aya	それにしても、結局この星形は何だったのでしょうか	In any case, I wonder what made that pattern.
Meiling	どちらかって言うとそっちの方が問題なんだけど、だれもそのことに触れないのですよー。みんな綺麗だとか面白いだとかしか言わないのです。心配しているのはお花畑を管理している私だけなんですよね	Yes, that's the main problem here, but nobody will touch it. They all just say how beautiful or interesting it is. I'm the only one losing sleep over it, since I'm the gardener here.
Aya	ミステリーサークルってみんな呼んでいますが……	Everyone calls it a crop circle, but...
Meiling	ミステリーサークルって言ったって、全然サークル状じゃないです。なんだか怪しいですが、この文様は本当に突如現れたのよね。私が館の周りを一周している間に出来たんだから。正味30分ぐらいで	But it's not even shaped like a circle. It's kind of suspicious how it just appeared suddenly out of nowhere, too. It happened in the time it took me to make my rounds around the perimeter of the mansion. It was only about thirty minutes.
Aya	そんなに短かったのですか	Was it really that short?
Meiling	たぶん	Probably.
Aya	途中で寝てたりしませんでした？	You didn't stop for a nap en route, did you?
Meiling	サ、サボったりしてませんて	I-I don't slack off!
Aya	普通じゃ無いですね。でも一部の人が言っているように宇宙人の仕業とかは考えにくいです	The white star is certainly out of the ordinary. Still, it's hard to believe it's the work of aliens, like some people claim.
Meiling	そう？　頭が宇宙人位じゃないと、こんな事をやらないと思うけど	Really? I think you'd need to be something like an alien to do something like this, though.
Aya	このお花畑で宇宙人が何を伝えようって言うのでしょうか？　ただの星形ですよ星形	But what could the aliens be trying to communicate with just a star?
Meiling	伝える？　そもそも、ミステリーサークルって何なのかしら。今まで言葉しか聞いたことが無かったらよく知らないのですけどー	They're trying to communicate? Is that even what crop circles do? I've never even heard of them before, so I don't know much about them...
Patchouli	ミステリーサークルってのは、外の世界の村おこしのパフォーマンスの一つ、と言われている。田畑以外に何にもない田舎に、お金もかけずどうやったら観光客を呼ぶことが出来るのかを、考えに考えて生まれた物だそうよ	They say that crop circles are used in the outside world to breathe new life into an old village. Supposedly somebody thought of it as a way to bring tourists to old rural towns with nothing but farmland.
Meiling	あ、パチュリー様、珍しいですね。外に出てくるなんて	Oh, Miss Patchouli, it's so unusual to see you out here.
Patchouli	まだ、このミステリーサークルを戻せていないのね。レミィが怒るわよ？　それで、ミステリーサークルとは何なのかというと、実はよく判らないの。噂では、畑に何らかの形で文様が浮き出る物だって言われてる	You still haven't turned it back to normal? Remi will get mad, you know. In any case, nobody really knows what crop circles are. They say they might also be formed by something rising up to the surface from underground.
Aya	ミステリーサークルについて詳しいみたいですね	You seem to know a lot about crop circles.
Patchouli	だって、この星形ミステリーサークルは試しに私が作った物だもの。噂から推測して	However, this star-shaped crop circle is an experiment of mine. I based it from the rumors.
Meiling	えええ？　なんですってー	Huuuuuh!? What did you say!?
