References

  1. 燕石 (enseki "swallow stone") is an obscure term similar in meaning to "fool's gold", referring to stones from the Yan Mountains (燕山) which are mistaken for expensive jade. It is the basis for an ancient Chinese idiom Chinese: 玉石混淆 ("all mixed up", lit. "a mixture of jade and stone").
