Tabakata Usojikuu(Lie Spacetime) ~ Fools Rush In (束方 嘘時空 ~ Fools_rush_in) is a Touhou Project fangame by JynX that is a remake (in the loosest sense of the word) of Phantasmagoria of Dim. Dream. A video showing the game was first uploaded to nicovideo on April 1, 2017[1], ostensibly as another one of their traditional April Fool's jokes. However, tweets from early June 2017 revealed that they were in fact planning to release the game to the public.

Gameplay

The game plays very similarly to Phantasmagoria of Dim. Dream or Phantasmagoria of Flower View, save for a key addition: Between the two playing fields is a progress meter that each player is moving towards the top of at their character-specific pace. Taking damage sets you back, and fighting a boss slows you down. At the end, you fight a stage boss. The player who defeats theirs first wins the match. There is also an endless mode where you fight a random assortment of characters until you lose. However, the game starts to break after the 36th round, with sprites being invisible including the background, bosses, enemies, and the enemy player. It is still possible to beat rounds since your character and shot are visible but losing a round after the 36th crashes the game.

Music

Fools Rush In contains 25 tracks, 24 of which being remasters of the used and unused tracks from Phantasmagoria of Dim. Dream while the remaining one, "Love Banquet War Record", was first heard in JynX's entry for the 7th Touhou Nico Dousai, 束方 恋宴戦記[2]. The game itself only comes with "Love Banquet War Record" and "Decisive Magic Battle! ~ Fight it out!", however. The remaining tracks are bundled with their album 現樂団の往古3 ~ 束方 繪夢時空~.
