 幽遠の砂浜 Distant Sandy Beach ♪ しゃわ (Shower)

タイトル画面のテーマです。

当初はトロピカルな感じで考えてたんですが
度重なる仕様変更により、常夏要素が影の形も無くなりました。
そんな事情が有り、背景のロケ地は夏の霧の湖へ移動。

(淡水の湖に砂浜なんてありましたっけ…？)

I was originally thinking of a tropical theme,
but after various specification changes, I removed the "eternal summer" elements.
So I changed the title BG location to the Misty Lake in summer.

(Do freshwater lakes have beaches...?)

Stage 1 Theme
 ほおずきみたいに紅い魂 A Soul as Scarlet as a Ground Cherry ♪ よいやみ (Yoiyami)

１面のテーマです。

夕闇のステージなので、紅魔郷から一曲。
のんきな巫女さん達の珍道中を現行仕様にしてみました。

曲がりなりにも宵闇の境内裏なので、アレが出ます。
夏と言えば納涼肝試しですが、彼女達の肝は…

It's an evening stage, so I took this song from EoSD.
I made the specifications this time 'a leisurely shrine maiden and friends on an incident-filled journey'.

Since it's still technically a shrine ground at dusk, that shows up.
Summer may remind one of doing a trial of guts to cool off, but these girls' guts are...

Stage 1 Boss - Rumia's Theme
 妖魔夜行 Apparitions Stalk the Night ♪ よいやみ (Yoiyami)

ルーミアのテーマです。

まあ彼女の曲と言えばこれ。説明不要です。
弾幕風ではお札を取ったEXルーミアの組み込み画像でお馴染みですが…。

本家STG本編での最後の出番が文花帖止まりですので、色々現代風に
アレンジしたりしてもらったりしました。様変わりしない程度に新作風。

Well, this is definitely her theme song. No explanation needed.
Although Danmakufu's default image of EX-Rumia without her amulet is pretty familiar by now...

Her last appearance in the official games was Shoot the Bullet, so I had this song remixed
to be more modern. It's in a more recent style, but not dramatically different.

Stage 2 Theme
 運河を行き交う人妖 Humans and Youkai Traversing the Canal ♪ maceknight

２面のテーマです。

PC殺しで(一部で)名高い柳の運河です。
コチラでも柳がハッスルしなければいいのですが…。

雨の日の河って個人的には近づきたくないんですよね。
なんだかフラフラ～と引き込まれそうで

The Canal of Willows, infamous (in some places) for murdering PCs.
As long as I don't make the willows hustle around fast, it should be fine, but...

I personally wouldn't want to get near a river on a rainy day.
It just sort of feels like you'd wooobble and get pulled in.

Stage 2 Boss - Nitori Kawashiro's Theme
 芥川龍之介の河童　～ Candid Friend Akutagawa Ryuunosuke's "Kappa" ~ Candid Friend ♪ 古山智之 (khirio)

河城 にとりのテーマです。

雨天な為、彼女のテンション120％でお送りしてます。
河童の気質(天候)ってやっぱり雨天なんですかね。

人里に近い運河の筈ですが、雨の日没の刻にわざわざ
出歩く人妖なんて妖精くらいなものでしょう。

Since it's raining, she's coming at you with 120% excitement.
A kappa's temperament (weather) would surely be rainy.

This canal is near the Human Village, but the only ones
traversing it during a rainy sunset would probably be fairies.

Stage 3 Theme
 夜の鳩山を飛ぶ　-Power MIX Fly Over Hatoyama at Night - Power MIX ♪ 深蒼穹 (Misora)

３面のテーマです。

風神録4面の滝ルートを表とするなら、このステージは山の裏側になります。
妖怪の山に滝が一つしかないとは言われてないので、裏にもあるという設定で。

実はすぐそばに中有の道があり、本当は生者向けの屋台とかもあるのですが
そんなモノ目にもくれずに頂上を目指していきます(純粋に忘れてただけ)

If the waterfall route in MoF stage 4 was the mountain's front, then this stage is the back.
It's never been stated how many waterfalls there are on the Youkai Mountain, so here, I put another in the back.

The Road of Liminality is right behind it, with a bunch of shops for the living,
but we're headed for the top without paying any attention to them. (Actually I just forgot)

Stage 3 Boss - Kasen Ibaraki's Theme
 華狭間のバトルフィールド Battlefield of the Flower Threshold ♪ フランシウム (Francium)

茨木 華扇のテーマです。

ついにあの仙人が弾幕STGに初登場！
深秘録で専用テーマも貰って、華扇ちゃんも喜んでいることでしょう。

実は神霊廟Exで公式に出演するはずだったそうなので、
この発想自体は結構古かったりします。残念。

(Comment by Gore.) This is Kasen Ibaraki's theme.

At last, that hermit makes her debut in a danmaku STG!
ULiL gave Kasen her own theme too, so she's bound to be happy.

Apparently she was originally considered to appear in the EX stage of Ten Desires,
so the idea itself is actually pretty old. What a shame.

Stage 4 Theme
 龍神飛至蓬莱山　～ Oriental Mythology Dragon God Flying to Mount Hourai ~ Oriental Mythology ♪ 緋子望 (Hishimottie)

４面のテーマです。

神秘的で激し目の曲です。そして終盤になるほど高揚感。
今までとは一線を画した雰囲気をお楽しみください。

ほら、ドキドキしてきたでしょう？

The stage 4 theme.

It's a mysterious and intense song that has that feeling of euphoria you'd expect when going towards the final stage.
Please enjoy the atmosphere that draws a line between the current and preceding stages.

Yeah, see? Your heart's all aflutter, isn't it?

Stage 4A Boss - Reimu Hakurei's Theme
 少女綺想曲　～ Capriccio Maiden's Capriccio ♪ NED

博麗 霊夢のテーマです。

萃夢想版のリスペクトです。
イントロだけ聞くとコテコテの和風ですがそうでもありません。
割と落ち着いていて、霊夢には結構似合っている…のでしょうか？
これぞイーストサウンドって感じ。

Reimu Hakurei's theme.

A homage to the IaMP version.
If you just listen to the intro, it sounds like it's in a super-heavy Japanese style, but the rest of it isn't, really.
It's relatively calm and relaxing, so it's a pretty good fit for Reimu... right?
A "now this is EastSound!" sort of feeling.

Stage 4B Boss - Marisa Kirisame's Theme
 魔女達の舞踏会 The Witches' Ball ♪ NED, Keith (Violin)

霧雨 魔理沙のテーマです。

萃夢想版のリスペクトです。
金髪の魔女は今日も貧乏籤を引く役目を負わされます。
たまには報われてもいいんじゃないかなと思ったりもしますが
演出上仕方ないこともしばしばです。
あ、ソロバイオリンは生演奏です。

This is Marisa Kirisame's theme.

A homage to the IaMP version.
Our blond-haired witch ends up drawing the short straw once again, in this game.
I do feel like she should get a break once in a while,
but a lot of the time it's an unavoidable consequence of the game's stage direction.
Oh, and the solo violin was performed live.

Stage 4C Boss - Sakuya Izayoi's Theme
 フラワリングナイト Flowering Night ♪ NED

十六夜 咲夜のテーマです。

緋想天版のリスペクトです。
弦楽器が随分頑張っています（笑）。
やはりメイドなので、ゴシックっぽさを出したいときには色々弦は便利です。

今日もメイドさんは右に左に大忙しです。

This is Sakuya Izayoi's theme.

A homage to the SWR version.
The strings are doing a lot of the heavy lifting here (lol).
She is a maid, after all, so having an ensemble of strings helps in giving the song a gothic feel.

Even today, the maid works hard left and right.

Stage 4D Boss - Sanae Kochiya's Theme
 信仰は儚き人間の為に Faith is for the Transient People ♪ 古山智之 (khirio)

東風谷 早苗のテーマです。

毎度おなじみ、緑の風祝こと早苗さんです。
輝針城風のアレンジでお送りします。

今回の異変は妖怪の山から拡散していったので、
一番黒幕に近かった人なんですが、巡り巡って遠回りと…。

It's our all-too-familiar green wind priestess, Miss Sanae.
Her theme's been arranged in the style of Double Dealing Character.

The incident this time had spread out starting at Youkai Mountain, so she was the closest in proximity to
the mastermind's location, but she ended up taking detours, bouncing around from one place to the next, and...

Stage 4E Boss - Youmu Konpaku's Theme
 広有射怪鳥事　～ Till When? Hiroari Shoots a Strange Bird ~ Till When? ♪ 古山智之 (khirio)

魂魄 妖夢のテーマです。

何時も空回りしてたり、明後日の方向に飛んでいく
生真面目一徹な彼女ですが、今回は割と暢気気味？

因みに肩からぶら下げているスイカは、
河に流れていたモノを修練用として拾ったとか

She's always taking fruitless turns or flying off in the wrong direction, but she seems
to be more than a little reckless this time around, doesn't she?

By the way, she found that watermelon hanging from her shoulder floating in a river,
and picked it up for a training regime.

Stage 4F Boss - Yuuka Kazami's Theme
 幽夢　～ Inanimate Dream Faint Dream ~ Inanimate Dream ♪ NED

風見 幽香のテーマです。

ジャズバンドっぽくアレンジしたつもりです。
幽香自体アダルティ強めな印象なので渋い所を色々目立たせようとしました。
しかしこの人何食べて生きてるんでしょうね。
霜…は流石にないか。うにせんとかですかね。

This is Yuuka Kazami's theme.

I had intended to arrange it in the style of a jazz band.
Yuuka herself gives off a strong "adult-y" impression, so I tried to highlight her austere side in various ways.

But I wonder, what kind of foods would she eat to survive...?
Frost? ...No, that's not something you'd expect from her. Sea urchin crackers, perhaps?

Stage 4G Boss - Reisen Udongein Inaba's Theme
 狂気の瞳　～ Invisible Full Moon Lunatic Eyes ~ Invisible Full Moon ♪ よいやみ (Yoiyami)

鈴仙・優曇華院・イナバのテーマです。

最近やたらと公式ゲームで出番が貰えて、大活躍中の彼女です。
このゲームでも実質主役級の扱いと言っても過言ではないです。

弾幕はと言いますと、曲が紺珠伝風アレンジなので
「もし紺に鈴仙がボスで出たら？」という想像で作りました。他も同様ですが。

(Comment by Gore.) This is Reisen Udongein Inaba's theme.

She's been playing a lot of active roles as of late, receiving plenty of playable opportunities in the official titles.
I'm not exaggerating when I say that this game treats her as the real star of the show.

In terms of danmaku, this song had been arranged in the style of Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom, so I had asked myself
"What if Reisen was a boss in LoLK?"; Her boss battle had been made with that in mind. The same goes for the others.

Stage 5 Theme
 夜更けの表六甲 Omote-Rokkō at Night ♪ よいやみ (Yoiyami)

５面のテーマです。

「あーあー、もう夜が明けちゃうぜー。」という夜更かし特有の
テンションイメージで選びました。時間的には午前３時半くらい？

霊夢達は鍛えているので平気ですが、夜更かしは寿命を削るので
良い子は早めに寝ましょう。(朝方にこのテキストを書きながら)

"Ah, it's almost dawn!!", I went with the tension of that sort of image, which is characteristic of those working late at night.
About 3:30 AM, time-wise?

It's fine for Reimu and company since they're all trained, but good children should go to bed
early because staying up late will shorten your lifespan (I say as I write this text early in the morning).

Stage 5 Boss - Tenshi Hinanawi's Theme
 有頂天変　～ Wonderful Heaven Catastrophe in Bhava-agra ~ Wonderful Heaven ♪ 水月 (Suigetsu)

比那名居 天子のテーマです。

寝起きを叩き起こされた所為で、少しご機嫌ナナメな模様。
天界でも格差があるらしいので、警備の人は眠れないのではないかと

そう言えば、要石って斜めに刺すとどうなるんでしょうね。
テコの原理で地面がえぐれるんでしょうか。謎ですわ。

She was woken up from her slumber, so it appears she's in a bit of a bad mood.
I heard that Heaven has some disparities of their own, so perhaps the people in defense don't get any sleep.

Come to think of it, I wonder what would happen if she stabbed a keystone slantwise?
Does the ground get hollowed out due to the principle of leverage? What a mystery...

Stage 6 Theme
 故郷の星が映る海 The Sea that Reflects One's Home Planet ♪ よいやみ (Yoiyami)

６面のテーマです。

紺珠伝の同名曲の風神録アレンジをお借りしました。
黒幕に至る疾走感を表したかったので、原作とは真逆の印象かも

因みに故郷の星というのは霊夢達目線ではなく
ボス目線でのお話です。あ、言わなくても判るか。

(Comment by Gore.) This is the Stage 6 theme.

For this LoLK song, I borrowed the Mountain of Faith-style arrangement of it.
I wanted to show the rapid pace leading up to the mastermind, so the impression might seem opposite of the original version.

In case you're wondering, the "Home Planet" part is not from Reimu and co's perspective, but from the boss's.
Oh, you don't need me to tell you that?

Stage 6 Boss (Part 1) - Ringo's Theme
 穏やかならぬ宴の兎 The Rabbit of the Unpeaceful Banquet ♪ しゃわ (Shower)

鈴瑚(前半戦)のテーマです。

ちょっとした遊び半分で、様子見的なイメージです。
故に鈴瑚はあまり本気を出していません。

暇を持て余した玉兎の遊び。

It's gotten a somewhat playful, wait-and-see kind of image.
Accordingly, Ringo isn't being very serious here.

A way of killing time for a moon rabbit with too much time on her hands.

Stage 6 Boss (Part 2) - Ringo's Theme
 玉兎と禁断の果実　～ Eden's Apple. The Moon Rabbit and the Forbidden Fruit ~ Eden's Apple. ♪ maceknight

鈴瑚(後半戦)のテーマです。

天壌の収穫祭もクライマックス。
楽しくなってついつい本気を出した玉兎。
切なさや静けさと、騒々しさや荒々しさ
二つの面をもつ曲になったかなぁと。
さあ、楽死みましょう？

This is Ringo's second theme.

The Heaven-and-Earth Harvest Festival is at its climax!
A moon rabbit who got a little too serious in her playtime.
I think this song has two sides to it: the heartrending serene side, and the boisterous wild side.


Now, let's have a peaceful death, shall we?

エキストラステージのテーマです。

とにかく紺珠伝風を目指し、色々とこねくり回し過ぎてしまったので、
微妙な感じになっていないかちょっと心配です。
原曲に比べてテンポアップしているので、多少のスピード感は
感じていただけるかと思います。

This is the Extra Stage theme.

Anyway, I was aiming for the LoLK style, but I tweaked it in so many ways that
I'm a little worried it might be too subtle.

The tempo's been increased compared to the original song, so you can feel some sense of speed.

Extra Stage Boss - Clownpiece and Flandre Scarlet's Theme
 星条旗のピエロは彼女なのか？ The Pierrot of the Star Spangled Banner was Her? ♪ 中山奈那 (Nana Nakayama)

クラウンピース＆フランドール・スカーレットのテーマです。

かわいい最狂コンビです。
２人で仲良く遊んでる雰囲気を出してみました。

ですが、人間からしたらもはや遊びではないですね、これ。

This is Clownpiece and Flandre Scarlet's theme.

They're the cutest, most insane duo!
I tried to convey a sense of two people playing together in a friendly manner.

But, from the perspective of a human, it's no longer a game.

エンディングのテーマです。

やっぱり暗いです。帰り道ですしね。
一人で登山をした後の帰路はこんな感じだと思います。

私は体力がないので登山はしません。
一人だと寂しいしね。

This is the ending theme.

The mood is dark all the same. And during the return home too.
I think this is what it is like to return home after a solo hike in the mountains.

I don't do mountain-climbing since I don't have the stamina for it. And because I get lonely when I'm by myself.

Staff Roll Theme
 遠い遠い幻想の砂浜 Sandy Beach of a Distant Fantasy ♪ しゃわ (Shower)

スタッフロールのテーマです。

ゲームを作ってると、一番ほっとするシーンですね。
何せエフェクト出すだけですから、バグとも無縁ですし…。

あ、地味にタイトル画面のアレンジになっていますヨ。

This is the most relieving scene when making a game.
After all, it's just placing down effects, so there's no need to worry about bugs...

ネームレジストのテーマです。

原作準拠なアレンジです。
なんか暗すぎて異世界にいる感じがします。
でも弾幕自体は明るくて楽しいですよ？

いつでも満足のいくゲームプレイをしたいものです。

This is the name registration theme.


An arrangement based on the original.
It's somewhat too dark, it makes me feel like I'm in a different world.
But the danmaku itself is cheery and fun, you know?

It's always good to have satisfying gameplay.

Last Word Theme
 天の宴は今宵も華やかに The Heavenly Banquet is Gorgeous Once More Tonight ♪ maceknight

ラストワードのテーマです。

おまけなので熱くなりすぎず、
でも本編の盛り上がりをそのままに。

異変は解決しているので力試しに遊んでいます。
曲は爽やかですが弾幕は濃厚ですよ。

This is the Last Word theme.


It's a bonus, so it's not too intense, but it maintains the excitement of the main story.

The incident's been resolved, so it's just play battles to test your strength.
The music is invigorating, but the danmaku is strong.

Harvest Stage Theme
 四季の華は太陽に踊る The Four Seasons' Flowers Dance in the Sun ♪ 匙星 (Sajiboshi), NED

ハーベストステージのテーマです。

主張をほとんどしてこない爽やかなテイストに仕上げました。

緊張感のない曲から繰り広げられる、緊張の弾幕。 さぁ、君も弾幕に踊れ！

This is the Harvest Stage theme.

We've made a refreshing style that hardly makes any assertions.

Nerve-wracking danmaku of tension unfolds from a song free of tension.
You as well, come and dance with the danmaku!

Harvest Stage Boss - Minoriko and Shizuha Aki's Theme
 稲田姫様に叱られるから Because Princess Inada is Scolding Me ♪ NED

秋姉妹のテーマです。

どうも原作だと小物にされがちな一面ボスを ちょっと強そうに描いてみました。 稲田姫の逆襲を味わってみてください。

This is the Aki Sisters' theme.


I tried to portray them as being a bit strong here, since stage 1 bosses like
them tend to be regarded as minor characters in the original series.
Please, have a taste of Inada-hime's counterattack.
