Gensou Skydrift (幻走スカイドリフト Gensou sukaidorifuto) is a 3D Racing Game, developed by illuCalab. The trial version was originally released for PC on December 29, 2014, at Comiket 87, with the full version released at Comiket 88 on August 14, 2015. It is similar in gameplay to the Mario Kart series, specifically Mario Kart: Double Dash, and the way they race is like Sonic Riders.

The game was released for Steam and Nintendo Switch on December 12, 2019. It was later released for PS4 on March 9, 2021. The developer was formerly a Nintendo employee who worked on Mario Kart 8's battle mode.[1]

Story[edit]

The story follows various denizens of Gensokyo as they investigate an influx of magical energy that seems to create race tracks in many locations. Due to the energy of some of the characters being sapped, they decide to ride on top of each other in flight to conserve magical power.
