Great Fairy Wars/Characters

This page lists the characters appearing in Great Fairy Wars.

The game is different from the other danmaku titles in the Touhou Project as it only features one character with one shot type, Cirno. It is also the smallest cast in the games, only having 7 characters, and no new characters. Though, the Three Fairies of Light did not appear in a game before, but were taken from the official comic series Touhou Sangetsusei (東方三月精, lit. "Eastern Three Fairies").

The majority of the characters are fairies, which would make sense as the story is taken place in the fairy community. The only non-fairy character is Marisa Kirisame, but does not have anything to do with the Great Fairy War.

Playable Character

Cirno Playable Character The fairy who is angry about the destruction of her house last winter. She somehow forgot the whole events, but then it was spring. She seeks for revenge to the Three Fairies of Light, the culprits. But where should she start?

Enemy Characters

Midbosses

Lily White Route A-1, Route B1-2, Route C1-2, and Extra Stage Midboss The fairy who's ability is to announce spring, and spring just has come to Gensokyo. Her announce is very unnatural with danmakufu.

Lily Black Route A2-2, Route B2-2, and Route C-1 Midboss Lily white disguised in black. Her job stays the same but now with a little tweak in her appearance.

Daiyousei Route A1-2, Route B-1, Route C2-2, and Extra Stage Midboss The nameless fairy from Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. She is just in Cirno's way to take revenge on the Three Fairies of Light.

Bosses

降り注ぐ星の光 The Pouring Starlight Star Sapphire Route A2-3 and Route B2-3 Midboss; Route A1-2, Route A2-3, Route B1-2, Route B2-3, and Route C-1 Boss; Route A1-3, Route B1-3, Route C1-3, and Route C2-3 Supporting Boss Member of the Three Fairies of Light who destroyed Cirno's house. Even though they only wanted to collaborate with her, it didn't turn out that way.

静かなる月の光 The Peaceful Moonlight Luna Child Route B1-3 and Route C1-3 Midboss; Route A-1, Route B1-3, Route B2-2, Route C1-3, and Route C2-2 Boss; Route A1-3, Route A2-3, Route B2-3, and Route C2-3 Supporting Boss Member of the Three Fairies of Light who destroyed Cirno's house. Even though they only wanted to collaborate with her, it didn't turn out that way.

輝ける日の光 The Shining Sunlight Sunny Milk Route A1-3 and Route C2-3 Midboss; Route A1-3, Route A2-2, Route B-1, Route C1-2, and Route C2-3 Boss; Route A2-3, Route B1-3, Route B2-3, and Route C1-3 Supporting Boss Leader of the Three Fairies of Light who destroyed Cirno's house. Even though they only wanted to collaborate with her, it didn't turn out that way. The whole thing was Sunny's idea.

通りすがりの魔法使い The Magician Passing By Marisa Kirisame Extra Stage Boss Just a magician who finished her flower viewing. She suddenly got challenged for a fight by Cirno, which she accepts.
