The story follows the Hourai Immortals Fujiwara no Mokou, Kaguya Houraisan and Eirin Yagokoro as they try to find a way to die, billions of years after Gensokyo disappeared. The story heavily focus on the Cosmos aspect, such as the Earth being swallowed by the Sun or, as the title implies, the death of the Universe itself.
