6F: The Azure Forest that Sank to the Bottom of Silence

Overview

  • If you completed her previous event, Suika can be found at the northwest area of this floor. Bring her "HQ Sake - Deer" (can only be bought from Nitori's Workshop for 12000 Money.) The item will be consumed and she will leave. Then, she can later be found on Floor 9.
  • In the center of the floor sits a staircase leading back down to floor 5 where you'd fight the Siren of Silence if you haven't already. Once you defeat her or evade her, you'll have access to a relay point and the second, eastern half of floor 6. You can easily navigate around the Siren through careful movements, although it'd probably be best for you to defeat her before attempting the aforementioned bosses.
  • The boss you need to fight before you can recruit Utsuho is right next to the entrance to the floor. You'll have to make around the entire floor to get there though. After recruiting her, don't forget to go back down to where you met Satori and recruit her as well. You need her to get past the rock blocking the way to floor 7.
  • Yuugi can be fought in the Northern part of the floor after having defeated at least 10 FOEs (Achievement 32). If you haven't yet, you should go back to where you found the other FOEs and go beat them up again to unlock the achievement. They respawn after entering the dungeon 14 times.
  • At the northeastern portion of the floor, there's a stair case leading to a Stone of Awakening on floor 5 as well as another Chen's event towards Ran's recruitment.
  • The Water Stone can be found directly West of the floor entrance while the Wind Stone can be found at the east and a little south of the relay point. You will need to have 36 different materials to get past the rock blocking it.

Similar to the Fire Stone, it follows a 4-turn pattern: Storm of Blue Rain (multi-target Cold spell), Blue Curse (multi-target Cold spell which debuffs Defence), Storm of Blue Rain again, and finally Heavy Fog (multi-target Heavy-inducing Cold spell). Its resistances are similar to the Fire Stone's, although instead of being weak to Cold and Heavy, and resisting Fire and Debuffs, it's the opposite; take advantage of its weakness to Debuffs as always and bring Fire attackers. Like the Fire Stone fight, you have access to Wriggle and can poison it despite its moderate resistance to Poison. However, unlike the Fire Stone, the Water Stone has high Defense and but low Mind so bring in magical attackers. Hina is a good choice for this fight since she can deal good damage and simultaneously inflict debuffs with Old Lady Ohgane's Fire; Okuu would also be a good idea if you recruited her already.

The stone follows a 4-turn pattern of Storm of Yellow Drive (multi-target Wind spell), Yellow Curse (multi-target Wind spell which debuffs Speed), Storm of Yellow Drive again, and Paralyzing Fog (multi-target Paralysis-inducing Wind spell). It's resistant to Wind and Physical but weak to Nature attacks, so bring your Nature attackers. Unlike the previous stones, the Wind Stone now has equally-high Defense and Mind. Also like the last stone fight, if you have access to Wriggle, you can poison it. It's also weak to debuffs, not unlike a bunch of previous bosses so make sure to capitalize on it.

The boss has access to Azure Arrow and Storm of Blue Rain, Acid Rain (which debuffs your party's Defense), Dissolvent (its only attack that scales from its Attack against your Defense, and it can inflict Heavy and debuff both defenses too), and Paralyzing Fog (which can paralyze your party). Blue Orchid's main gimmick is that it has high enough DEF and MND to nullify the damage from most of your attackers, but starting from the 3rd turn, it'll use Melt Shell to permanently drop its Defense and Mind by 300 before every attack; this means you're encouraged to play defensively for the first few turns, and only go into offense once it has used Melt Shell a few times.

It is resistant to Fire, Cold and Physical but weak to Wind and Dark, and it's weak to most status effects and debuffs. Wriggle can contribute with her PSN, and Rumia or Kaguya can deal MND-piercing damage; Kogasa and Parsee can also do good damage once its defenses have been lowered. Inflicting SIL or HVY can also speed things up since they halve the boss's defenses.

Similar to her fight in LoT1, Yuugi throws fast and strong single target attacks with first slot preference during the first phase. At first, she will only use normal Attack and Irremovable Shackles which is Spirit-elemental and can cause Paralysis, Heavy and Silence. Once you reduce her below 80% HP, she will add Supernatural Phenomenon, a powerful Nature-elemental attack, to her arsenals. Have Komachi or some other character in the first slot to soak up the damage, preferably with equipment to boost Physical affinity; if you're feeling lucky, you can instead have someone with decent Evasion in the first slot. Don't use Aya though, as we'll need her for the second phase of the fight.

Yuugi is completely resistant to Paralysis, Terror and Attack/Defense Debuffs. She's weak to Poison which makes Wriggle an absolute must in this fight thanks to her HP count. She also has no Speed Debuff resistance, so inflicting those can help a lot. Yuugi has higher Defense than Mind, resists Fire, Dark and Physical and is weak to Wind, Mystic, and Spirit. You should adjust your party accordingly. Also, note that Yuugi is fairly evasive so boosting your party's accuracy with your gear or Momiji's Ability to See Far Distances skill is recommended.

During Phase 1, try to focus on buffing up your characters (mainly Marisa for the second phase) while applying as much Poison as possible. It's helpful to bring Satori, as she can help Wriggle apply stacks of poison as well as help Minoriko in keeping your first slot character buffed up and healed up.

Once the poison brings Yuugi to the 50% HP threshold, Phase 2 will begin and she'll start spamming Knock Out in Three Steps, which will do 3k Physical damage to the character in the first slot. In LoT1, this was an absolute pain, but thankfully, evasion is a working stat now. This is where Aya comes into play. She should be wearing equips that boost her Evade up and possibly her Speed. Switch in Marisa and Okuu with Aya and unleash as much damage as possible to kill Yuugi before your luck with evasion runs out. A buffed Master Spark and buffed Giga Flare should do the trick.

In case you have decided to recruit her, there is a character that is an even safer tank than Aya for the 2nd phase: Mokou. If you give her 3 ranks of Resurrection, some ranks in TP boost and TP-enhancing equipment, you should be able to get her TP over 30, maybe even 36, enabling her to revive up to 6 times after being killed by Knock Out in Three Steps. Unless you're getting incredibly unlucky and hit the 10% chance of her not reviving early on, Mokou should give your attackers more than enough time to finish Yuugi off.

Money-Growing Tree - 100%
Mr. Midnight Oil Set - 100%
Items Discovery Weekly - 100%

Don't let the HP amount freak you out. You don't actually need to win this fight to advance (after she takes 10 turns, Tenshi will simply flee.), but if you can reduce her to 66% of her health when she flees, you will get Money-Growing Tree, Mr. Midnight Oil Set and Items Discovery Weekly. If you want all the spoils including Divine Barrier, a very powerful +88% Defense/Mind Sub Equipment, you'll need to actually defeat her before she runs away. She attacks quickly and relentlessly with Ame-no-Murakumo Slash, a single-target Spirit-elemental strike for about 4K damage, and Evasion doesn't seem to do any good thanks to Tenshi's high Accuracy. So that basically means its a damage rush to the bitter end, with 10 of her turns being the time limit.

Tenshi heavily resists Mystic, Spirit, Dark, and moderately resists Physical, so all of your usual high damage attackers won't be doing much to her. Compound this with the fact that she has high Defense and Mind and the fight will feel completely impossible. She completely resists Paralysis, Shock and Terror, moderately resists Poison and is weak to Debuffs. A useful debuff to give her for both survival and trying to defeat her, is a Speed debuff which makes Cirno a very good idea for this fight. Attack debuffs won't be useful as she'll still deal too much damage at this stage for anyone to reliably tank, however Defense and Mind debuffs are essential for defeating her if you're going for her goodies. Another thing to consider is to inflict her with Heavy and Silence as this covers the Speed and Defense, and Mind stats which can aid survival and increase the amount of damage you deal. Yuugi can inflict Heavy on Tenshi reliably with her Irremovable Shackles spell but this also uses up her turn and MP so you may wish to consider giving her or someone else the Repulsion Orb Main Equipment which can allow a character to inflict Heavy status with their attacks.

Depending on your strategy there will be a certain amount of luck to be had to win this fight without grinding to the recommended level (The game recommends you to be level 40 before attempting this fight.) For a poison strategy, your active team should consist of Aya with a maxed Gensokyo's Fastest Lessons and Tengu's Wind, Satori, Wriggle and someone you're willing to sacrifice right away and Cirno with maxed Beloved Tomboyish Girl and maxed Icicle Fall (if able.) Somebody who can withstand a couple of hits (a ~Lv30 Komachi with boosted HP and SPI resistance, Mokou, or even Kasen with Guts if you're feeling lucky) is preferred for the first slot, as any turn not wasted replacing your tank is a turn invested elsewhere.

Your goal in this fight is to apply as much poison as possible with Satori and Wriggle while using Aya or anyone else available to switch characters in. Aya should be able to get two turns before Tenshi's first turn and these turns should be spent buffing Satori's and Wriggle's speed. The luck comes into play when Tenshi gets her turn and decides who she wants to kill and your luck in being able to apply the poison. She mostly targets the furthest slot on the left but not always and you may get extremely unlucky and lose Wriggle right away. If that happens, it might be best to just start over. If Aya or Satori happens to die right away, switch Cirno in and spam Icicle Fall hoping for the speed debuff.

In the end, you'll just be throwing out characters for Tenshi to kill hoping the poison will do enough damage before time is up. And while it may do significantly less damage, Master Spark will still take a chunk out of Tenshi's HP.

An alternate strategy involves brute forcing Tenshi with Yuugi and Marisa while applying Speed, Defense and Mind debuffs and the occasional Heavy and Silence status to limit the amount of turns Tenshi has to deal damage and flee while also significantly reduces her Defense and Mind. Using Aya to buff Speed and switch in members to fire off debuffs and to tank in the first position, barring any RNG mishaps you'll be able to chip away heavily at Tenshi's HP with Magic Missile and Supernatural Phenomenon. This strategy is slightly less RNG dependent than poison procs, but relies on Marisa and Yuugi specced on full offense in all areas (Bonus Points, Magic Library, Skills) as well as having a few additional levels under your belt (level 29 to 30 is sufficient.)

Ideal skills for Yuugi to take would be Ruinous Super Strength and Last Fortress to amp up damage and take advantage of your sacrificed party members. For Marisa, Sheer Force is absolutely necessary and you may wish to also consider taking Magic Training and Main Character - Marisa to take advantage of the inevitable fall of party members in battle.
