ima koko ni aru ibitsuna kokoro wo hitotsu ima koko ni aru ibitsuna kokoro wo hitotsu |
Now, I am right here. A singular distorted heart here. Now, I am right here. A singular distorted mind here. |
kanaekirenai yokubou kibou subete ni nozomi wo kakete itsuka mukae ni kuru hazu mo nai, kara kowarete shimai ma hatemashou |
A lust for a wish that can’t be granted fully multiplies into a wish for everything. Someday don’t expect me to welcome you here, because I’ve just finished breaking me; let’s do it completely. (1) |
kowarete shimai ma hatemashou |
I’ve just finished breaking me; let’s do it completely. |
mada koko ni aru ibitsuna kokoro wo hitotsu mada me wo tojite jibun de kagi wo kaketa no |
Still, I’m right here. A singular distorted heart here. Still, my eye is closed. I took away the key to me. |
kazoekirenai kodoku no toge ga nukenai yo |
Utterly uncountable are isolation’s thorns that I will not escape. |
kanaekirenai yokubou kibou subete ni nozomi wo kakete itsuka mukae ni kuru hazu mo nai, kara kowarete shimai ma hatemashou |

kazoekirenai kodoku no toge ga nukenai yo hikari tozashite kokoro wa doko ni aru no kana |
Utterly uncountable are isolation’s thorns that I will never escape. And the light shuts down Where has my heart gone away to now? |

(1.1) This is a very, very awkward line to translate. First off, ‘hatemashou‘ is in its polite (masu) presumptive/volitional verb form. From what I’ve seen so far, verbs are usually conjugated to their casual forms in lyrics. I took it to mean that the singer (Koishi for sure) is being rather strangely polite on this line, and that ‘strange’ is likely what the listener is supposed to think. (1.2) ‘Hatemashou’ in this line can be interpeted either as ‘to end/die’ or ‘to do something completely (i.e. indicating that an extreme has been reached)’. For the most part, I used the latter interpretation. Though… if you ‘break’ yourself, you’ll also kill yourself, no? | ||
