止め処無く溢れ出す涙の意味を 今は未だ知らないままなの

tomedonaku afuredasu namida no imi wo ima wa mada shiranai mama nano

The meaning of those tears falling endlessly Is what even now I don’t know

何時もの日々の中で探すの 在るその意味 “どうして此処にいるのか” 不安を纏う度に 心が震えていた 「私にも何か出来るの?」

utsumono hibi no naka de sagasu no aru sono imi “doushite koko ni iru no ka?” fuan wo matou tabini kokoro ga furueteita 「watashi ni mo nanika dekiru no? 」

Always, every day, I searched for where that meaning is “Why am I here?” Each time I felt anxious, my heart shivered “What will I be able do?”

守りたいものが此処にある それだけでいい 小さな手 私にも出来るよね

mamoritai mono ga koko ni aru sore dake de ii chiisana te watashi ni mo dekiru yo ne

There’s something I want to protect here, that’s what matters I’ll be able to do it with my small hands

何時までも変わらないでいて欲しい 願っても その瞳は 澄んだ空を見ていた 大切に想う程に心配で 伸ばした手 君は未だ知らないままなの

itsumademo kawaranai de ite hoshii negatte mo sono hitomi wa sunda sora wo miteita daisetsu ni omou hodo ni shinpai de nobashita te kimi wa mada shiranai mama nano

I wish that it will never, ever change I prayed for it, when these eyes looked up at the clear sky I thought so much about it I was worried I stretched my hand, yet, even now, you don’t understand

明日を夢見ていた 描いた空の色に 付け足す-大切なモノ- 数えた星に願う 幸せ続くように 「私にだって出来るよね」

ashita wo yume miteita egaita sora no iro ni tsuketasu –daisetsu na mono- kazoeta hoshi ni negau shiawase tsudzuku youni 「watashi ni datte dekiru yo ne」

I’ve dreamt of a tomorrow drawn with the sky’s colors I’ll add -what’s important- I wish upon all the starts to keep being happy “Because I’ll be able to do it”

守りたいものが此処にある それだけでいい 流れてく涙 強さに変わる

mamoritai mono ga koko ni aru sore dake de ii nagareteku namida tsuyosa ni kawaru

There’s something I want to protect here, that’s what matters Tears are falling, I’ll change with my strength

その笑顔変わらないで そのままで 見守ると決めたけれど ゆらり揺らぐ心が 進んでく後ろ姿見つめてた 伸ばした手 絡む糸を 紡いで歩いて

sono egao kawaranai de sono mama de mimamoru to kimeta keredo yurari yuragu kokoro ga susundeku ushirosugata mitsumeteta nobashita te karamu ito wo tsumuide aruite

That smile will never change, never I decided to watch over you but my heart trembles, shakes I looked at the figure advancing from behind I stretched my hand, grabbed, spun the strings, and walked

守りたいものが此処にある それだけでいい 見つけたの 私に出来る事を

mamoritai mono ga koko ni aru sore dake de ii mitsuketa no watashi ni dekiru koto wo

There’s something I want to protect here, that’s what matters I’ve find it, what I’m able to do

何時までも変わらないでいて欲しい 願っても その瞳は 澄んだ空を見ていた 今はもう涙の意味分かるから 繋いだ手 いつの日にも大切なモノを守れますように

itsumademo kawaranai de ite hoshii negatte mo sono hitomi wa sunda sora wo miteita ima wa mou namida no imi wakaru kara tsunaida te itsu no hi ni mo daisetsu na mono wo mamoremasu youni

I wish that it will never, ever change I prayed for it, when these eyes looked up at the clear sky Now I finally understand the meaning of those tears I touched your hand; someday I will be able to protect what’s important to me

Translator's Notes

“守りたいものが / There’s something”; the part I’ve translated as “that’s what matters” in Japanese can be translated as “that much is good/ok”. As usual -?- when translate “いい”, I tend to give a liberal translation, since in Japanese is used with way too many meaning.

“大切に想う / I thought”; a more literal translation would be “I’ve been thinking so carefully to the point of being worried”, but I preferred to shorten the English phrase while trying to not change its meaning instead of keeping a –in my opinion- way too long phrase for a lyrics’ translation.

“繋いだ手 / I touched”; literally, “hands connected/connected hands”.
