Original Romanized Translation

Like finding a letter that has been lost somewhere, and taking it by hand. It’s a similar feeling, but I have no memory of what’s written on there.

jibun no ashiato jibun to iu mono ga ikiteita akashi no sore wa itsuka no magaimono

My own footprints, evidence that a being called “me” lived – they are all fake things from the past.

dare mo ga ikite ikite sono inochi nani wo soko ni nokosu no darou

Everyone lives on with their lives. I wonder what they’ll leave behind in there.

– sono oto ni komete.

—— put into that sound.

utai omoi kanadeta mono-tachi keredo watashi ni wa sono subete shiru koto nado kanawanai…

The things that were sung, reminisced and played. But I have no way of knowing all of them…

tatoeba kono shunkan mo watashi no mune no soko kara kikoeru seizon no oto kore mo kitto ikiteita akashi ni natte shimau

If in this moment too, I can hear the sound of existence coming from the bottom of my heart, this will surely also become an evidence that I lived.

amari ni tayorinai amari ni mo yoso yoso shiku mo dou ni mo naranai kaku mo wazurawashii kodou

This all too untrustworthy, stiff, hopeless, and annoying, heartbeat.

watashi ga ikite ikite sono inochi tatoe nanika wo nokoshite mo

I live on with that life. Even if I can leave anything behind

– kono oto no you ni.

—— it will be like this sound.

utai omoi kanadeta mono-tachi keredo ‘watashi’ ni wa sono subete shiru koto nado kanawanai…

The things that were sung, reminisced and played. But “I” have no way of knowing all of them…

‘watashi’ ga ikita inochi sonna etai no shirenai oto jibun no tateta jibun de nai oto sonna hitoriyogari no ‘omoi’ nante, aa…

The lifeexistence that “Isomeone” lived —— That type of mysterious sound tracksthings. Sounds that I produced, yet do not belong to me. That kind of conceited musicmemories, ah…

soushite ikite ikiru kono inochi itsuka mata ‘watashi’ wa kitto

And then I live on with this life. Someday, “I” will surely

– kono oto wo nikumu.

—— hate this sound again.

utai omoi kanaderu kagiri ni ‘dareka’ no inochi o tsudzuka seru koto ni ——

As long they are being sung, reminisced and played. They will continue mysomeone’s existence life——

sore demo ikite ikite kono inochi sore wo motsu mono no sadame to

Even then, this heartbeatlife lives on. The fate of the person who owns it…

-kono oto wa kaku mo.

—— this sound is so…

Let’s sing, reminisce and play. But “I” hope to live without ever knowing all of them…

watashi no, kirai na, kono oto wo.

… The musicsounds, that I, hate.

Transcriptor Note 1. “Usually, this word, “音楽”, is pronounced as “ongaku”, which means “music”. However, in this song, it is pronounced as “oto” (音), which means “sound”. Over the course of the song, “oto” isn’t written as “音”, but they are written by hiragana instead.

2. The real title of the song would be “the memory i hate”, because “音楽” (ongaku/music) is sung as “おもい” (omoi/feelings). However. “omoi” in Diao ye zong’s universe refers to “memories” more than ‘feelings”, and especially the song is refering to Akyuu. Sounds familiar to you yet?

3. Two children of Hieda are mentioned in the song. One is “私” (watashi”) written as a kanji, the other is “わたし” (“watashi”) written in hiragana form. They might come from a slightly different timeline to each other. The Child of Miare has the ability to “not forget anything she sees”. This applies to every generation of the girls who is taking care of Gensoukyou’s chronicle. In this song, we the latter successor has to be dealing with the bad memories she has (as well as the former’s). For her, those memories are just sound because she’s already removed her heart. This explains the kanji erasures in -omoi- as well, just for your information.
