MISTY RAIN is a Touhou doujin music circle who's arrangements are primarily done in a high tempo Hard-Rock style characterized by vintage guitars & equipment (Fender Telecaster USA '68, Fender Jazzmaster Custom shop NOS '63, etc.) often resulting in anachronistic guitar tones in addition to also being characterized by punchy sounding technical drums. Music by the circle is arranged and primarily preformed by sole member ながもん often with bass support from FND, おつぽん or タカ of Sun Flower Field & Iris Drop. Vocals are primarily contributed by female vocalist 青砥 雫 (aka ℃iel) who has been featured on nearly every album by the circle and has even been the only vocalist featured on some albums (Star Guide Literacy and 星天の夢見草), female vocalists レジ (niconico mylist ^{(Requires account)}) and tompi are also featured on many of the circle's releases.

Much of the circle's early discography (specifically their first 3 albums) has been re-recorded and featured on later releases, most notably the circle's 2nd and 3rd albums Scarlet Scenery & 風詠神楽 originally released in 2010 & 2011 respectively were completely redone in 2014 featuring re-recordings & remasters of tracks from the original albums in addition to new arrangements. A 3D Touhou animation titled "SONIC SPARK" by MUD SPIKE!/impulse (creator of touhou-dogfight) was produced featuring the opening track from the album 風詠神楽 (2011) and is now featured on MISTY RAIN's official website, it can be viewed here on Youtube.

	STAR DUST FAN CLUB Release date: 2010-02-28 (Touhou Ezomatsuri) An album featuring vocal and instrumental arrangements of themes from Phantasmagoria of Dim.Dream, Lotus Land Story, Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, Mountain of Faith, Shoot the Bullet, Subterranean Animism and Shuusou Gyoku. A mostly instrumental album, many of the tracks from it would be re-recorded with vocals for later releases by the circle.
	Scarlet Scenery Release date: 2010-08-14 (Comiket 78) An album featuring vocal arrangements of themes from Lotus Land Story, Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, Imperishable Night, Phantasmagoria of Flower View and Shuusou Gyoku. Roughly half of it's tracks would be re-recorded for the 2014 album of the same name Scarlet Scenery.
	風詠神楽 Release date: 2011-03-13 (Reitaisai 8) An album featuring vocal arrangements of themes from Lotus Land Story, Imperishable Night, Mountain of Faith and Undefined Fantastic Object. The entire album with the exception of the closing acoustic track would be re-recorded for the 2014 album of the same name 風詠神楽.
	白南風　靡いて　雲の峰 Release date: 2011-08-13 (Comiket 80) An album featuring vocal arrangements of themes from Lotus Land Story, Imperishable Night and Mountain of Faith. A short 4 track album featuring 2 songs that would appear on the circle's next release in addition to 2 songs from the previous album sung by different vocalists.
	Star Guide Literacy Release date: 2011-09-11 (Reitaisai SP2) An album featuring vocal arrangements of themes from Lotus Land Story, Immaterial and Missing Power, Imperishable Night, Shoot the Bullet and Dolls in Pseudo Paradise.
