夏の中盤、鬱陶しいくらいの太陽が照りつける日。 博麗神社の巫女、博麗霊夢（はくれいれいむ）もだれて何もする気が起きなかったある日のこと。 幻想郷に突如海が出来た。何の前触れも無く瞬時に誕生した。	An irritable and blazing mid-summer day. Reimu Hakurei, the Hakurei shrine maiden, didn't feel like doing anything on this day. Suddenly, and without warning, an ocean had formed itself within Gensokyo.
霊夢　「いつの間に大雨が降ったの？ 　　　　今は…止んでいるようだけど」	Reimu "When did it ever rain so heavily? Though...it seems to be stopping now."
魔理沙「いや、雨が降ったくらいでこんなことにはならないんじゃないか？ 　　　　山の湖でも溢れ出したか？それとも間欠泉？」	Marisa "No, is rain really enough to cause this? Maybe the mountain lake overflowed? Or is it the geyser?"
魔法使いの霧雨魔理沙（きりさめまりさ）はいつものように神社に来ていた。 普段とは全く違う光景に少々興奮気味である。	The magician Marisa Kirisame came to the shrine as always. She was a bit excited about this completely out of ordinary spectacle.
霊夢　「湖？間欠泉？ 　　　　またあいつらの仕業なの？ 　　　　まあ、水浴びできるから許すけど」	Reimu "Lake? Geyser? Is it them again? Well, at least we can swim now, so I'll forgive them."
早苗　「私たちではありませんよ」	Sanae "It's not us!"
いつからいたのか、山の巫女、東風谷早苗（こちやさなえ）は怒り顔で言う。	Being there for some time, the mountain shrine maiden, Sanae Kochiya spoke with an enraged expression.
早苗　「先ほどまでの雨はすぐに再び降り出すでしょう。 　　　　雨を降らせるのは私たちの仕事。 　　　　雨がいつまでも降り続けば信仰が停滞します。 　　　　今すぐ犯人を捕まえなければなりません」	Sanae "The heavy rain from before'll start up again soon. Making it rain is our job. If this rain keeps up, our faith will stagnate. We must catch the culprit immediately!"
霊夢　「雨が降らなきゃ最高なのよね。 　　　　あんたに任せたわ」	Reimu "Stopping the rain is of utmost importance for you, right? I'll leave it to you then."
魔理沙「お前は行かないのか？ 　　　　私は興味津々なんだが」	Marisa "You're not goin'? I'm very interested though."
霊夢　「私は何も困ってないわ。 　　　　何かあればまたアイツが来るでしょ。 　　　　じゃ、蒸し暑いからちょっと涼んでくる」	Reimu "I'm not troubled by it. If anything happens, she'll come to me. Well then, it's pretty hot and humid, so I guess I'll go cool down a bit."
意気揚々と海に出かけようとした霊夢だが、 アイツ――八雲紫（やくもゆかり）の待ったがかかる。 どうやらこのままでは容量オーバーにより結界が崩壊する可能性があるとのこと。 霊夢は根源を探る為に出かけるハメとなった。	Having decided to go out to the sea, the high spirited Reimu waited a bit for her - Yukari Yakumo. It turned out that if this keeps going on, there will be too much water and the border could rupture. Thus, Reimu was saddled with the task of finding out the cause.
赤の巫女、青の魔法使い、そして緑の巫女。 三色の人間は再び降り始めた雨の中、広い海へ飛び立った。	The red miko, blue magician, and green miko. These three-colored humans started to fly towards the wide ocean in the rain that had started again.
黒い世界に生み出された白い結晶。 眩しく輝かせるための光が欲しい。	White crystals were born from the black world, longing to shine with a dazzling light.
彼女はそこで待ち続けた。	She continued to wait there.
