Morgan (モーガン, Mōgan) is a "self-proclaimed", "so-called genius-type female" and a bit of a mad scientist at times. Apparently, she's an important character, but has no background story. She appears as the 4th boss of Kioh Gyoku, then about 7 years later when Banshiryuu had C74 version release, she appeared as the 5th Extra Stage boss as part of a boss rush.

General Information

Personality

Morgan is a bit of a "Miss Unfortunate". She's the type who would do anything for something in return. She extremely hates doing any form of physical effort, but because she's a genius and that she has the intelligence and talents in her free time, she rarely ever has to do so. In order follow her own common ethics, she dislikes having close company with her comrades, but she doesn't care much about it. In battle, she herself doesn't overdo petty diversions. Also, she's heterosexual.

Machinery

Her aircraft in Kioh Gyoku was called "Flying Hotcake" and that it's an "Enemy-action-obstruction type". It's got slow speed and uses cheap attacks. It's able to shoot blue rings of danmaku that, unfortunately for Morgan, are destroyable. It also shoots orbs that appear to be bombs, which themselves are actually micro-photon generators. The machines name she flies in Banshiryuu is unknown, but it's a giant orb that's able to change in size. Its attacks are also similar to the aircraft she flown Kioh Gyoku.

Character Basis

Name

The name "Morgan" as a girl's name (also used as boy's name Morgan), is pronounced MOR-gen. It's Welsh and Old English origin, and the meaning of Morgan is "circling sea" or "great brightness/bright" or "white sea dweller". The given meanings suggest the magical machinations of King Arthur's jealous sister, Morgan le Fay. Morgaine and Morgayne are medieval Irish forms.

Design

Morgan's design in both Kioh Gyoku and Banshiryuu shows that she has dark blue hair with a thin ponytail and has a lab-coat with an outstretched collar with a black shirt under her lab-coat. In Banshiryuu, she also wears a dark blue skirt connected to what appears to be thigh high boots.

In the Extra Stage, Morgan appears in what appears to be her Factory in an unusual ship, where she appears as one of the many "evil beings". She is however defeated.

Additional Information

• She shares some similarities with Rikako Asakura from the Touhou Project.
• The background while fighting Morgan is the only scenery in Banshiryuu's Extra stage to not appear in the main scenario.
