Midboss Spell Card

Spell Card 11

Bad Luck Sign "Bad Fortune"
Owner: Hina Kagiyama
Stage 2 — Easy
Comment: Misfortune crosses many paths, leaving a trail of hurt.
Getting surrounded by bullets is bad fortune indeed.

Spell Card 12

Bad Luck Sign "Bad Fortune"
Owner: Hina Kagiyama
Stage 2 — Normal
Comment: Misfortune crosses many paths, leaving a trail of hurt.
And you have been placed in the middle of it, be careful.

Spell Card 13

Bad Luck Sign "Biorhythm of the Misfortune God"
Owner: Hina Kagiyama
Stage 2 — Hard
Comment: Awkwardly arcing sources of bullets that spread in all directions.
This biorhythm can't be healthy at all for Hina. (Can dolls be unhealthy?)

Spell Card 14

Bad Luck Sign "Biorhythm of the Misfortune God"
Owner: Hina Kagiyama
Stage 2 — Lunatic
Comment: Awkwardly arcing sources of bullets that spread in all directions.
Is Hina a flawed apotrope (amulet)? Or is this spell a ward against humans?

Boss Spell Card #1

Spell Card 15

Flawed Sign "Broken Amulet"
Owner: Hina Kagiyama
Stage 2 — Easy
Comment: A shattering amulet of protection.
Bullets hide behind others to redeploy later.

Spell Card 16

Flawed Sign "Broken Amulet"
Owner: Hina Kagiyama
Stage 2 — Normal
Comment: A shattering amulet of protection.
Well, an amulet wouldn't last long on a curse doll anyway.

Spell Card 17

Scar "Broken Charm of Protection"
Owner: Hina Kagiyama
Stage 2 — Hard
Comment: The destruction of an intricate amulet from the inside out.
Because of how it's destroyed, the charm becomes much more dangerous as it expands.

Spell Card 18

Scar "Broken Charm of Protection"
Owner: Hina Kagiyama
Stage 2 — Lunatic
Comment: The destruction of an intricate amulet from the inside out.
If it is being destroyed from within, then is Hina breaking her own seal to ward you off? This is sacrilege.

Boss Spell Card #2

Spell Card 19

Evil Spirit "Misfortune's Wheel"
Owner: Hina Kagiyama
Stage 2 — Easy
Comment: A wheel that does not turn, but falls apart.
Will nothing go right for the cursed doll?

Spell Card 20

Evil Spirit "Misfortune's Wheel"
Owner: Hina Kagiyama
Stage 2 — Normal
Comment: A wheel that does not turn, but falls apart.
I guess that makes for a better attack though.

Spell Card 21

Fate "Old Lady Ohgane's Fire" [1]
Owner: Hina Kagiyama
Stage 2 — Hard
Comment: Three curses of ghostly fire wrapped into wheels.
Fate is unforgiving. Perfection at the most key junctures is the only way to avert it.

Spell Card 22

Fate "Old Lady Ohgane's Fire"
Owner: Hina Kagiyama
Stage 2 — Lunatic
Comment: Three curses of ghostly fire wrapped into wheels within wheels.
To believe in others' predictions is to resign oneself to fate. Do not lose hope.

Boss Spell Card #3

Spell Card 23

Wound Sign "Pain Flow"
Owner: Hina Kagiyama
Stage 2 — Easy
Comment: An infinite source of torment.
Pain is the last thing to go.

Spell Card 24

Wound Sign "Pain Flow"
Owner: Hina Kagiyama
Stage 2 — Normal
Comment: An infinite source of torment.
You never get used to pain; it changes just when you think you're okay.

Spell Card 25

Wound Sign "Exiled Doll"
Owner: Hina Kagiyama
Stage 2 — Hard
Comment: A flurry of small shots deters wanderers from the source of woe.
Exile can be self-imposed too. Should we pity those who choose to do so?

Spell Card 26

Wound Sign "Exiled Doll"
Owner: Hina Kagiyama
Stage 2 — Lunatic
Comment: A blizzard of small shots deters wanderers from the source of woe.
It's for others' good, though. Hina is doing a good thing.

Notes

  1. Reference to the last member of the Ohgane house in Tōtōmi, who died without designating an heir. She would continue to haunt her former territories as a will-o'-the-wisp after her death.
