Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 "Guest stars" (客星) are what ancient Chinese astronomers call comets, novae, and supernovae. They are "guests" when compared against the fixed stars.
  2. 2.0 2.1 2.2 2.3 Spell Card 66 to 69 are a reference to Moses's crossing of the Red Sea in order to lead the Israelites away from Egypt, as described in the Exodus of the Old Testament.
  3. a reference to Chinese novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, where Zhuge Liang called upon the stars to summon the southeastern winds before the Battle of Red Cliffs
  4. Takeminakata (japanese) - god of agriculture, metalworking, military, and wind. Also the god Kanako Yasaka is modelled after.
  5. The kamikaze that sunk the invading Mongolian fleets, saving Japan.
  6. Some believe that the typhoons were the work of Takeminakata, who Yasaka is based on.
