Notes

  1. Possibly a reference to the light novel Canary File ~Kinsanko~ (カナリア・ファイル~金蚕蠱~) written by Shiuko Mouri (毛利 志生子). The chinese characters 蠱 (gu, "poison, bewitch") and 金蠶 (jincan, "gold silkworm") refer to poisonous worms/bugs used in black magic rituals to gain love, wealth or to curse people. In Japanese this is referred to as Kodoku.
  2. 大道めぐり (daidou meguri) refers to a game played by ten children in Kenji Miyazawa's short story ざしき童子のはなし (Zashiki douji no hanashi). Suddenly, an eleventh child is among them, but no one recognizes it as unfamiliar. This eleventh child is a zashiki-warashi in disguise.
  3. プラチナイレブン is a parody of the japanese title of the soccer-themed media franchise Inazuma Eleven (イナズマイレブン, Lightning Eleven).
  4. 十一人目のストライカー might be a reference to the 16th Detective Conan Movie Detective Conan: The Eleventh Striker (名探偵コナン 11人目のストライカー).
  5. Miko-Asobi: a play on Oshira-asobi (lit. "playing (with) Oshira-sama"), one of several names for a ritual for worshipping Oshira-sama. It involves an itako lifting up and moving around a figure representing Oshira-sama, as if making it dance.
