夏の間に、山とは反対方面の幻想郷の奥地へ進むと、目が眩むほど黄色く眩しい草原が広がっている所がある。	If you go towards the heart of Gensokyo from the opposite side of the mountain during summer, you'll find a meadow filled with dazzling yellow.
そこが太陽の畑と呼ばれる草原で、黄色の正体は大量の向日葵である。	This field is called the Garden of the Sun, and the yellow comes from a great number of sunflowers.
太陽の畑は、若干南向きのすり鉢状になっており、遠くからは発見しにくい。	The Garden of the Sun is shaped a bit like a south-facing bowl, so it's hard to find it from afar.
人間の里からこの畑までは距離があるが、ここの美しさは一見の価値がある。	The field is some distance away from the human village, but its beauty is worth at least a glance.
ただ、この向日葵畑は夜は陽気な妖怪達の夏のコンサート会場となっている。	However, this sunflower field becomes a concert venue for spirited youkai at night.
うっかり紛れ込むと大量の妖怪に囲まれてしまうだろう（＊２２）。	If you carelessly get caught in one, you'll likely be surrounded by a great number of youkai (*22).
向日葵自体ごく普通の向日葵で、昼間は妖精達の絶好の日向ぼっこポイントとなっている。	The sunflowers themselves are quite ordinary, so the field is a popular sunbathing spot for fairies in the day.
昼間にここに向かっても、やはり大量の妖精にからかわれてしまう。	Even if you came during the day, you'd be ridiculed by a great number of fairies.
隠れて遠くから眺める程度にしたい。	I'd like to gaze at the field while hidden from far away.
ここの向日葵は、常に太陽の方を向いて回転するが、それはただ単に向日葵に隠れた妖精達が向きを変えて遊んでいるだけである（＊２３）。	The sunflowers in this field rotate to always face the sun, but this is just because the fairies hiding beneath them are playing around facing different directions (*23).
＊２２　コンサート中は大丈夫かも知れないが、帰りが怖い。また、プリズムリバー楽団のライブとかもここで行う事が多い。	22: This might not be a problem during the concert, but getting back would be difficult. Events such as the Prismriver performances occur here often.
