冥界に存在する、とてつもなく広い庭園を持つお屋敷が、白玉楼である。	In the Netherworld is a manor with a vast garden, called Hakugyokurou.
西行寺家の持ち家であり、広い庭には数え切れない程の桜の木が植わっている（＊３１）。	It is the home of the Saigyouji family, and in its garden are planted countless cherry trees (*31).
庭までなら一般に公開されており、広い庭は優雅さを味わいに来た幽霊で一杯である。	The garden, which is typically open to the public, is often full of phantoms come to admire its graceful beauty.
西行寺家は冥界にとって特別な家系で、冥界の桜と共に冥界に永住する事が許されている名家である。	In the Netherworld, the Saigyoujis are a special family, a distinguished household allowed permanent residence among the Netherworld's cherry trees.
この白玉楼で、冥界の幽霊の管理をしているのだ。	Out of Hakugyokurou, the family manages the phantoms of the Netherworld.
建物の中は一般には公開していない為、詳細は判らないが、本殿は枯山水の中庭を囲むようにコの字型になっていると言う。	As the building itself is typically not open to the public, little is known about it, but the inner sanctuary is said to form the shape of a letter "U" to enclose a zen garden courtyard.
大広間からは障子を開けると、玉砂利が敷き詰められ見事な松の木が植わった中庭、そして奥に低い塀があって、塀越しに広大な桜の庭が見えるとだとか。	From the reception hall, a sliding door opens out onto a courtyard spread with fine gravel and planted with magnificent pines, and further on beyond a short wall, a vast orchard of cherry trees is visible.
広間から見ると、床と壁と天井で切り取られた、大きな屏風の様に見える。	From the hall, with the floor, walls and ceiling cut out, the view looks like a great folding screen.
春にここから外を眺めた、その美しさはこの世の物ではないと言う（＊３２）。	The view outside from here in the spring is said to be out of this world (*32).
